Product Overview
The Hi-Vis Breathable Rain Bib and Brace is a sophisticated, single-colour solution for professionals who require high-visibility protection without compromising on physical comfort. Built upon the proven chassis of the S488 model, this garment offers the same dependable features in a clean, unified orange finish. It is engineered to provide a robust barrier against inclement weather while facilitating the moisture-vapour transfer necessary for active work, ensuring the wearer remains dry from both external rain and internal perspiration.
Key Features
- Constructed from breathable 300D Oxford fabric, which allows moisture to escape from the body while preventing water ingress.
- The double PU coating provides a high level of water resistance, ensuring the garment remains effective even in heavy downpours.
- A stain-resistant finish is applied to the outer shell, which helps repel oils and dirt to maintain the garment's appearance over time.
- The single-colour design offers a professional and streamlined aesthetic suitable for a wide range of corporate environments.
- Adjustable straps and a generous fit allow for easy layering over standard work trousers without restricting movement.
Design & Performance
This bib and brace is manufactured from 100% polyester 300D Oxford weave, a material chosen specifically for its resilience in demanding environments. The Oxford weave provides significant abrasion resistance, essential for clothing that will be subjected to the rigours of site work. Despite its durability, the fabric remains lightweight, preventing fatigue during long shifts. The breathability of the material is a key performance factor, preventing the build-up of humidity inside the garment that often occurs with standard waterproofs.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
This garment is perfectly suited for both print and embroidery, making it an excellent canvas for company branding. Embroidery is recommended for a superior, long-lasting finish on the bib area, ideal for company logos and individual names. Alternatively, print customisation is an effective choice for larger safety messaging or high-impact graphics across the chest or legs.
All customisation is handled in-house by our expert team in Telford. MyWorkwear has been a specialist in garment decoration since 1976, ensuring that every logo is applied with technical precision to maintain the professional integrity of your workwear.
Use Cases
This bib and brace is ideal for workers in the construction, rail, and highway maintenance sectors where high-visibility orange is a mandatory safety requirement. Its breathable properties also make it a preferred choice for logistics and warehouse personnel who move frequently between indoor and outdoor environments.

Practical Advice
As this is a waterproof shell, we suggest selecting your size based on what you intend to wear underneath. The bib and brace is designed to fit over standard trousers, so ensuring you have enough room for movement is vital. The adjustable braces should be used to set the height of the hem correctly to avoid premature wear on the trouser cuffs.
Caring for your product
To maintain the technical performance and the high-visibility safety standards of this garment, proper care is essential. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. High temperatures can degrade the double PU coating and reduce the effectiveness of the waterproof barrier.
Do not use bleach on this garment, as it will damage the fluorescent dyes and the stain-resistant finish. The product must not be tumble dried; instead, it should be drip line dried. Exposure to the high heat of a tumble dryer or an iron will melt the technical coatings and damage the reflective tape, compromising your safety on site.
Please note that this garment has a maximum limit of 50 washes. Once this limit is reached, the reflective properties may no longer meet the required safety certifications, and the item should be replaced to ensure you remain fully protected.
