Product Overview

The Bizweld Work FR Bib and Brace is an essential piece of protective equipment for environments where flame resistance is non-negotiable. Engineered to provide comprehensive coverage for both the chest and lower body, this garment ensures that safety does not come at the expense of functionality. It is a substantial, hard-wearing item designed to withstand the rigours of demanding industrial work while keeping the wearer secure and visible.

Key Features

  • Comprehensive Protection: Provides full lower body and chest coverage to safeguard against heat and flames in hazardous environments.

  • Ample Storage: Features a large chest flap pocket, two side pockets, a back hip pocket with flap, and a dedicated rule pocket, ensuring all essential tools and personal belongings are within reach.

  • Enhanced Visibility: Integrated reflective tape at the leg ends improves wearer visibility in low-light conditions, an essential safety feature for busy worksites.

  • Adjustable Comfort: The adjustable elasticated straps allow for a precise, personalised fit, reducing fatigue during long shifts and ensuring the garment moves with you.

Design & Performance

Constructed from Bizweld Work 100% cotton fabric, this bib and brace offers a substantial and sturdy feel. The choice of 100% cotton ensures breathability while providing the necessary flame-resistant properties required for high-risk tasks. This heavyweight material is well-engineered for durability, meaning it won't easily succumb to the wear and tear of a typical workshop or site environment. The addition of flapped pockets prevents debris from entering, further protecting both the wearer and their equipment.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The Bizweld Work FR Bib and Brace is well-suited for both print and embroidery, allowing you to align your safety gear with your corporate identity. Embroidery is an excellent choice for a professional appearance on the chest flap, providing a durable and high-quality method for displaying company logos or individual names. For larger, more prominent designs, our print technology offers a bold way to ensure your business remains recognisable on the site. Since 1976, our expert team in Telford has been handling garment customisation in-house, ensuring that your branding is applied with the same precision as the garment's construction.

Use Cases

This garment is specifically designed for professionals working in welding, metalwork, and other industrial sectors where flame-resistant clothing is mandatory. Its robust construction and protective features make it ideal for site work, manufacturing plants, and any environment where chest and lower body protection against heat is paramount.

Practical Advice

Given the substantial nature of the Bizweld fabric, we recommend considering the clothing you intend to wear underneath when choosing your size. The adjustable straps provide some flexibility, but ensuring a comfortable fit across the chest and waist is key for ease of movement. This bib and brace pairs exceptionally well with other flame-resistant garments for comprehensive protection.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the flame-resistant properties and integrity of your garment is vital for continued safety and a professional appearance. A domestic wash should be carried out at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a normal process. Excessive heat during washing can damage the protective fibres and cause unnecessary shrinkage, potentially compromising the fit and effectiveness of the garment.

Do not use bleach on this item. Bleaching agents will degrade the flame-resistant treatment and weaken the cotton fibres, significantly reducing the protective lifespan of the bib and brace.

This garment should be line dried and must not be tumble dried. High heat from a tumble dryer can lead to fabric degradation and may cause the reflective tape to peel or crack over time. If ironing is required, ensure the temperature does not exceed 150°C to maintain the fabric's integrity. Finally, do not dry clean this garment, as the chemical solvents used can strip away the essential flame-resistant properties.
