Product Overview
The Regatta Hi-vis pro pack-away trousers are engineered for the professional who cannot afford to be sidelined by a downpour. Designed as a lightweight but highly effective outer layer, these trousers provide exceptional protection against wind and rain while ensuring you remain visible in low-light conditions. Crafted from technical 100% polyester Oxford fabric, they offer a sophisticated balance between durability and portability, easily packing away into their own dedicated storage bag when the weather clears.
Key Features
Isotex 10000 Fabric: This high-specification material provides a waterproof and breathable barrier, ensuring you stay dry from the outside while allowing moisture vapour to escape from within.
EN20471 Class 2 Compliance: The strategically placed reflective tapes ensure you meet essential safety standards for high-visibility workwear on-site.
Taped Seams: Every internal join is heat-sealed to prevent water ingress through the stitching, providing complete protection in heavy rain.
Pack-away Functionality: The trousers fold neatly into a separate bag with a hanger loop, making them perfect for keeping in a vehicle or locker for sudden weather changes.
Elasticated Waist: Designed for comfort and ease of movement, the elasticated waistband allows the trousers to be quickly pulled on over existing workwear.
Design & Performance
The performance of these trousers is centred around the Isotex 10000 membrane. This technical fabric is designed to withstand significant water pressure while remaining breathable, reducing the risk of overheating during physical activity. The Oxford weave of the polyester provides a sturdy, abrasion-resistant surface that stands up to the rigours of a busy working environment. Despite their protective qualities, the fabric is notably lightweight, ensuring that adding an extra layer doesn't result in unnecessary bulk or restricted mobility.
Why No Customisation?
We supply these specific trousers as non-customised garments to protect their technical integrity. Applying embroidery can puncture the waterproof Isotex membrane, creating points where water can leak through. Furthermore, adding logos to high-visibility overtrousers can sometimes obscure the certified reflective areas or the background hi-vis fabric, potentially compromising the garment's EN20471 safety certification. By providing these as-is, we ensure you remain fully compliant and fully protected.
Use Cases
These trousers are an essential item for anyone working in outdoor environments where weather conditions are unpredictable. They are particularly suited for construction site workers, surveyors, and delivery drivers. The orange variant also conforms to RIS-3279-TOM, making it the required choice for those working on or near the UK railway infrastructure.

Practical Advice
As these are overtrousers, they are designed with a slightly more generous cut to fit over your standard work trousers. We recommend selecting your usual size, as the elasticated waist and relaxed fit have already accounted for the extra layers underneath. If you are between sizes, consider the larger option to ensure maximum freedom of movement when bending or reaching.
Caring for your product
To maintain the technical performance of the waterproof membrane, we recommend a cool machine wash using Regatta Isotex cleaner or a pure soap. Conventional detergents can contain chemicals that strip away the water-repellent finish, reducing the effectiveness of the trousers over time.
Never use bleach on this garment. Bleach will cause the polyester fibres to become brittle and will quickly dull the high-visibility pigment and reflective tapes, rendering the safety features ineffective.
Tumble drying should only be done on a low heat setting. This gentle heat can actually help reactivate the durable water repellent coating on the outer fabric. However, excessive heat should be avoided as it can damage the taped seams and the waterproof backing.
If ironing is required, use a cool setting only and avoid direct contact with the reflective strips. Dry cleaning should be avoided entirely, as the solvents used in the process can dissolve the adhesives used for the waterproof taping and damage the fabric's protective coating.
