Product Overview
The S562 Ripstop Winter Jacket is an essential piece of equipment for those who refuse to let the British weather dictate their working day. Engineered to outperform competitor alternatives in fit, function, and value, this jacket provides a formidable barrier against the elements. The outer shell is constructed from a substantial polyester ripstop, featuring a PVC coating and fully taped seams to ensure you remain dry during heavy downpours. It balances rugged protection with efficient thermal performance, utilising a medium-weight internal wadding that traps heat effectively without the restrictive bulk often found in lesser garments.
Key Features
- Taped Waterproof Seams: These provide a complete seal against water ingress, ensuring the wearer remains dry in the most challenging conditions.
- Ripstop Fabric Construction: The reinforced weave is designed to resist tearing and snagging, significantly extending the life of the jacket in demanding environments.
- Insulated Wadding: The medium-weight internal insulation provides essential warmth without compromising the wearer's mobility.
- Multiple Utility Pockets: Strategically placed pockets offer secure and convenient storage for tools, mobile devices, and personal items.
- Reflective Piping: Smart reflective detailing on the chest and sleeves enhances visibility, providing an extra layer of safety when working in low-light conditions.
Design & Performance
Performance is at the heart of the S562. The 100% polyester ripstop fabric is inherently durable; the grid-like weave ensures that if a puncture does occur, the tear is contained and prevented from spreading. This is paired with a PVC coating that offers a waterproof rating of 5,000mm, meeting EN 343 Class 3:1 standards for weather protection. Inside, the smooth polyester lining allows the jacket to glide over mid-layers, while the medium-weight insulation ensures a comfortable core temperature throughout the working shift. The Black and Grey colour scheme offers a modern, professional aesthetic that hides dirt well while remaining smart enough for client-facing roles.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The S562 is an excellent candidate for both print and embroidery, allowing you to align your team's appearance with your brand identity. For a truly professional and long-lasting finish, we recommend embroidery for company logos and staff names. The substantial weight of the ripstop fabric provides a stable base for high-density stitching, ensuring your logo remains crisp and clear over time.
For larger, high-impact branding across the back of the jacket, our precision printing processes are ideal. This method is particularly effective for bold text and large-scale designs. All customisation is managed by our expert in-house team in Telford, who have been perfecting workwear branding since 1976.
Use Cases
This jacket is ideally suited for tradespeople and site managers who require a combination of thermal insulation and high-level waterproof protection. It is equally at home on a construction site, in a warehouse loading bay, or for outdoor maintenance teams who need a professional uniform that can withstand daily rigour.

Practical Advice
The S562 is designed with a standard fit to accommodate layering. For optimal warmth in sub-zero conditions, we recommend pairing this jacket with a moisture-wicking base layer and a medium-weight fleece. If you are frequently between sizes, the generous cut of this jacket usually allows for your standard size to be worn comfortably over work shirts.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-performance characteristics of the S562 and ensure the longevity of your custom branding, proper care is vital. We recommend a mild domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 30°C. Exceeding this temperature can damage the PVC coating and compromise the integrity of the taped waterproof seams.
You must not use bleach on this garment, as it will degrade the polyester fibres and cause the colours to fade. After washing, the jacket should be drip line dried only. Do not tumble dry, as the mechanical heat can warp the ripstop fabric and damage the internal insulation.
Furthermore, do not iron this jacket; direct heat from an iron will melt the PVC coating. Dry cleaning should also be avoided, as the chemical solvents used in the process can dissolve the adhesives used for the waterproof taping. Following these instructions ensures your investment remains functional and professional for as long as possible.
