Product Overview
The DX4 Hi-Vis Winter Jacket is a well-engineered garment designed to provide essential protection against the elements while maintaining a professional appearance. Combining a fresh, dynamic design with high-performance materials, this jacket is built for those who require both visibility and thermal efficiency in challenging environments. The use of superior stretch breathable fabric ensures that the wearer remains comfortable and mobile, moving beyond the restrictive nature of traditional winter workwear.
Key Features
- Hi-Vis-Tex Pro Reflective Tape: This heat-applied segmented tape offers increased flexibility and breathability, ensuring you remain visible without compromising the garment's stretch properties.
- Texpel Splash Finish: An innovative water-resistant treatment that causes water to bead away from the fabric surface, helping to keep the jacket clean and dry for longer periods.
- InsulatexPro Padded Insulation: Provides exceptional warmth by trapping heat within its advanced fibre structure, offering thermal protection without the bulk of traditional padding.
- Articulated Sleeves: Specially designed to follow the natural movement of the arms, reducing fabric bulk and providing a better range of motion during manual tasks.
- Brushed Micro Fleece Collar: Offers additional comfort and warmth against the skin, preventing irritation and protecting the neck from cold winds.
Design & Performance
The foundation of this jacket is the Portwest Extreme Waterproof fabric, a 150D polyester stretch material with a PU membrane. This combination provides a high level of water resistance and breathability, essential for maintaining a stable internal temperature when working outdoors. The lining, constructed from a polyester stretch pongee, further enhances the garment's flexibility, ensuring that the insulation does not restrict movement.
Durability is a core component of the DX4 design. The 100% polyester shell is engineered to withstand the rigours of daily site work, while the heat-applied reflective tape is more resilient than traditional sewn-on versions, as it eliminates the risk of stitching failure in high-wear areas.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The DX4 Hi-Vis Winter Jacket is an excellent candidate for both print and embroidery, allowing you to align your safety gear with your corporate identity. For a superior, long-lasting finish, we recommend embroidery for company logos and staff names. This provides a professional, three-dimensional look that stands up well to the demands of outdoor work.
For larger branding or bold promotional designs on the back of the jacket, high-quality printing is an effective alternative. All customisation is managed by our expert in-house team in Telford, who have been perfecting workwear branding since 1976. We ensure that any customisation maintains the integrity of the jacket's technical features.

This jacket is specifically designed for professionals working in the construction, logistics, and engineering sectors who require high-visibility protection during the winter months. Its robust construction makes it suitable for site managers and tradespeople alike who need a jacket that looks professional while providing genuine protection against wind, rain, and cold.

Practical Advice
To maximise the thermal efficiency of the InsulatexPro technology, we recommend wearing moisture-wicking base layers underneath this jacket. This helps to transport perspiration away from the skin, allowing the jacket's breathable membrane to function effectively. When selecting your size, consider the layers you typically wear in winter to ensure a comfortable fit that does not restrict movement.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-visibility performance and waterproof integrity of this jacket, it is essential to follow the specific care instructions. We recommend a mild domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C. Exceeding this temperature can damage the PU membrane and the heat-applied reflective tape, reducing the garment's lifespan.
Do not use bleach, as this will degrade the polyester fibres and dull the high-visibility fluorescent colour, compromising your safety on site. The jacket should be drip line dried only; using a tumble dryer can cause the reflective tape to peel and the technical fabrics to shrink. Finally, do not iron or dry clean this garment, as the heat and chemicals involved will destroy the waterproof finish and reflective properties. Please note that this garment has a maximum limit of 25 washes to ensure it remains compliant with safety standards.
