Product Overview

The WX3 Winter Jacket is a sophisticated piece of equipment designed for professionals who require high-performance protection during the colder months. Combining a contemporary aesthetic with technical engineering, this jacket provides an effective barrier against the elements. Part of the All Weather Protection range, it features a robust waterproof shell paired with substantial thermal insulation to ensure you remain both dry and warm throughout your shift.

Key Features

  • Waterproof Protection: The Portwest Extreme shell ensures you stay dry even in challenging weather conditions.
  • Reflective Segmented Trim: This trim enhances visibility in low-light environments without compromising the flexibility of the garment.
  • Adjustable Zip-off Hood: Provides versatile protection that can be removed when not required, adapting to changing weather.
  • 2-Way Zip: Offers increased flexibility and ease of movement, particularly useful when sitting or reaching.
  • Ample Storage: Multiple pockets are strategically placed to keep your essential tools and personal items secure and accessible.

Design & Performance

Engineered with Portwest Extreme Waterproof fabric, the shell is constructed from a hard-wearing Nylon Taslan with a TPU membrane. This combination achieves an EN 343 Class 3:1 rating, offering a water penetration resistance of 15,000mm. The technical nature of the fabric ensures that water is kept out while the internal polyester filling provides a significant layer of warmth. The lining, made from a smooth polyester taffeta, allows the jacket to glide over base layers for maximum comfort during physical activity.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The WX3 Winter Jacket is an ideal canvas for corporate branding. We recommend embroidery for a sophisticated and permanent professional appearance, particularly for company logos or staff names. For larger, more impactful designs on the back of the jacket, our high-quality print process is an excellent alternative. Our expert team at MyWorkwear, established in 1976 and based in Telford, handles all customisation in-house to ensure your branding meets our rigorous quality standards.

Use Cases

This jacket is specifically designed for individuals working in construction, site management, or logistics during the winter season. Its blend of high-visibility accents and professional black finish makes it equally suitable for site visits, outdoor inspections, and general trade work where both warmth and a sharp image are required.

Practical Advice

Given the substantial thermal filling of this jacket, we recommend considering your usual layering system when choosing a size. If you typically wear a heavy fleece underneath, ensure you select a size that allows for comfortable movement. The zip-off hood is best stored in one of the internal pockets when not in use to avoid misplacement.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high-performance waterproof membrane and thermal integrity of this jacket, it is essential to follow the care instructions precisely. A domestic wash should be limited to a maximum temperature of 40°C. Using higher temperatures can degrade the TPU membrane and compromise the waterproof rating.

Do not use bleach, as these harsh chemicals will break down the nylon fibres and destroy the protective coating. After washing, the jacket should be drip line dried. Tumble drying must be avoided as the heat can cause the synthetic filling to clump and the outer shell to delaminate.

Ironing this garment is not permitted; the high heat of an iron will melt the technical nylon fabric and the internal polyester insulation. Similarly, do not dry clean this jacket, as the chemicals used in the process are too abrasive for the waterproof finish.
