Product Overview

The PW3 Modaflame Work Hi-Vis Multi-Norm FR Women's Jacket (FR715) represents a significant advancement in protective workwear specifically engineered for the female form. Developed as the direct counterpart to the FR714, this jacket has been designed and tested by women to address the unique requirements of a professional working environment. Constructed from our renowned Modaflame™ Inherent fabric, it provides reliable protection in multi-risk settings without compromising on mobility or professional appearance.

The garment's architecture is notably different from standard unisex alternatives; additional tailoring around the waist and hips ensures a secure fit that remains comfortable over long shifts. Furthermore, the design accounts for average female height and arm length measurements, which is a critical safety feature that reduces the risk of tripping or snagging on machinery or equipment.

Key Features

  • Inherent Flame Resistance: The protective properties are built into the fibre itself, meaning the flame resistance will not diminish with repeated laundering.
  • Modaflame™ Work Stretch Panels: Strategically placed panels provide greater flexibility and ease of movement, allowing the wearer to perform physical tasks without restriction.
  • Multiple Zipped Pockets: Secure storage options are provided for essential tools and personal items, preventing loss or safety hazards in the workplace.
  • Anti-Static Protection: The inclusion of carbon fibre provides permanent anti-static properties, essential for environments with electronic or explosive risks.
  • Tailored Women's Fit: Precision dimensions ensure the jacket sits correctly on the body, improving both comfort and professional aesthetics.

Design & Performance

This medium-weight jacket is engineered using a sophisticated blend of 60% Modacrylic, 39% Cotton, and 1% Carbon Fibre. This composition ensures that while the garment is robust and protective, it maintains the breathable and soft characteristics of cotton. The Modaflame Work HV fabric is designed to perform in demanding multi-norm environments where heat, flame, and static are constant considerations.

Performance is further enhanced by the use of Modaflame™ Work Stretch in high-movement areas. This contrast fabric incorporates elastane to facilitate a full range of motion, which is often a challenge in traditional flame-resistant garments. The result is a well-engineered piece of equipment that supports the wearer throughout the working day while maintaining its structural integrity and protective qualities.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The FR715 is fully compatible with our professional customisation services. For a formal and enduring corporate identity, we recommend embroidery. This method is ideal for company logos and individual names, providing a textured, high-quality finish that withstands industrial wear. Our Telford-based team uses precision machinery to ensure your branding is executed to an exacting standard.

Alternatively, heat-applied print is available for larger, bolder designs that require high visibility from a distance. Because this jacket is a technical garment, our in-house experts—who have been perfecting their craft since 1976—will ensure that the customisation method chosen does not compromise the flame-resistant properties of the fabric.

Use Cases

This jacket is specifically designed for women working in high-risk sectors such as petrochemicals, electrical engineering, and utility maintenance. It is the ideal choice for environments requiring both high-visibility protection and multi-norm flame resistance. Whether working on-site or in a technical facility, the FR715 provides the necessary protection against thermal hazards and static discharge.

Practical Advice

To ensure maximum safety, we recommend selecting the correct size to take full advantage of the tailored arm and torso lengths; a correct fit is essential to prevent the garment from catching on site hazards. This jacket is designed to be worn over flame-resistant base layers. When layering, ensure that all garments in the system meet the required safety standards for your specific working environment.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and safety certifications of this jacket, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C. Using a normal process ensures that dirt and contaminants are removed without degrading the fabric's integrity or the vibrancy of the high-visibility colour.

Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Bleaching agents can chemically damage the inherent fibres and significantly weaken the flame-resistant properties, potentially rendering the jacket unsafe for use in hazardous environments.

For drying, a low-temperature tumble dry setting is advised. High heat can lead to excessive shrinkage or damage to the stretch panels and reflective tape. If ironing is required, use a maximum temperature of 110°C and avoid direct contact with any custom print or reflective elements. Finally, do not dry clean this jacket, as the chemicals used in the process can interfere with the technical properties of the Modaflame™ fabric.
