Product Overview

The Bizflame Rain+ Hi-Vis Multi-Norm Contrast FR Jacket is a sophisticated piece of protective equipment designed for professionals working in hazardous environments. This jacket provides comprehensive protection against a variety of risks, including heat, flames, chemicals, and rain. With its high arc rating, it is specifically engineered for those who require versatile protection without sacrificing comfort. The ergonomically shaped hood and breathable cotton lining ensure that the wearer remains protected and comfortable even in the most adverse weather conditions.

Key Features

  • Ergonomically shaped hood: Designed to provide a secure fit and excellent coverage, the hood protects against wind and rain without restricting the wearer's movement or field of vision.
  • Cotton Flame Resistant Lining: The inclusion of a dedicated FR lining provides an additional layer of safety while ensuring the jacket remains comfortable and warm throughout the working day.
  • Ripstop PU Coated Shell: The outer fabric features a 7mm ripstop pattern which significantly enhances durability, preventing small snags from becoming major tears in the garment.
  • Multi-Norm Protection: This jacket is built to protect against multiple hazards, including fire, rain, and chemical splashes, making it an essential item for complex industrial sites.

Design & Performance

The design of the Bizflame Rain+ jacket focuses on high-level performance in demanding conditions. The shell fabric is a medium-weight blend of polyester, modacrylic, and cotton, integrated with carbon fibre for permanent anti-static properties. The modacrylic content provides inherent flame resistance, while the polyester and cotton blend ensures a sturdy yet flexible feel. This medium-weight construction is balanced with a lightweight flame-resistant cotton lining, which facilitates moisture management and heat retention without adding unnecessary bulk. The contrast navy panels are strategically placed in areas prone to soiling, helping to maintain a cleaner, more professional appearance over time.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This jacket is well-suited for both embroidery and print, allowing for high-quality branding that matches your corporate identity. Embroidery is excellent for achieving a professional appearance for logos and individual names, providing a durable and high-quality finish. For larger, bold designs that need to stand out from a distance, our high-visibility printing is an effective alternative. All customisation is handled at our Telford facility by our expert in-house team, established in 1976, ensuring that the application of your brand does not interfere with the protective qualities of the garment.

Use Cases

This jacket is ideal for workers in the utilities, petrochemical, and electrical engineering sectors where multi-hazard protection is a requirement. It is particularly effective for outdoor site work where there is a combined risk of flame exposure, chemical contact, and electric arcs. For the most comprehensive protection, we recommend wearing this jacket in combination with the FR410 trousers.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, consider the layers you will be wearing beneath the jacket. As this is a protective outer layer, a slightly more relaxed fit may be preferable to allow for full range of motion when worn over standard work shirts or thermal base layers. Ensure that the hood is adjusted correctly to provide maximum protection without obstructing your vision.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the performance of this jacket is vital for ensuring long-term protection. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C. Washing at higher temperatures may degrade the protective coatings and the integrity of the reflective tapes, which could compromise your safety on site.

Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Bleaching agents will chemically damage the flame-resistant fibres, potentially rendering the jacket unsafe for use in hazardous environments. To maintain the garment's shape and finish, it can be tumble dried on a low setting or line dried, and if necessary, ironed at a maximum temperature of 110°C.

We advise against dry cleaning, as the harsh solvents used in the process can strip away the essential treatments that provide chemical and water resistance. Following these instructions carefully will ensure your jacket remains a reliable part of your safety equipment for its full lifespan.
