Product Overview

The Bizflame Work Lightweight Stretch Panelled FR Jacket is a sophisticated solution for professionals who require flame-resistant protection without sacrificing mobility. This jacket balances a contemporary aesthetic with innovative design, ensuring you look the part while remaining fully protected in demanding environments. It fits as good as it looks—which, considering the historical standards of bulky safety gear, is no small feat.

Key Features

  • Stretch panelling provides essential flexibility in key movement areas, allowing for an unrestricted range of motion during physical tasks.
  • Upper and lower back ventilation encourages airflow, which is vital for maintaining comfort when working in high-temperature settings.
  • Multiple pockets offer ample storage for tools and personal items, keeping your essentials secure and accessible.
  • Adjustable cuffs allow for a tailored fit, helping to prevent snagging and ensuring the sleeves stay in place.
  • Reflective trims enhance visibility in low-light conditions, providing an additional layer of safety on-site.

Design & Performance

Constructed from Bizflame Work fabric, this jacket is primarily composed of 99% cotton, providing the natural breathability and comfort required for long shifts. The inclusion of 1% carbon fibre is a technical necessity, offering permanent anti-static properties that are essential in volatile environments. Despite its lightweight construction, the garment is engineered for durability.

The strategic use of stretch panels—a blend of cotton, elastane, and carbon fibre—addresses the traditional rigidity of flame-resistant workwear. This ensures the garment moves with the wearer rather than against them, particularly across the back and shoulders where flexibility is most needed.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This jacket is well-suited for both print and embroidery, allowing you to maintain your corporate identity without compromising the garment's protective qualities. Embroidery is the preferred choice for a professional finish, ideal for company logos and staff names on the chest. For larger, more striking branding on the back, our high-quality printing services are exceptionally effective.

Our experienced in-house team in Telford, who have been perfecting their craft since 1976, oversees every stage of the customisation process to ensure your branding meets our rigorous standards. We understand that your workwear is a walking billboard for your business, and we treat it with the respect it deserves.

Use Cases

This garment is designed for workers in industries such as oil and gas, utilities, and electrical engineering, where flame resistance and anti-static properties are mandatory. Its lightweight nature makes it particularly suitable for indoor environments or for use during the warmer months when heavier protective gear would be impractical.

Practical Advice

Given its lightweight profile, this jacket is an excellent outer layer over flame-resistant base layers. When selecting your size, consider the range of motion required for your specific trade; the stretch panels do offer flexibility, but a comfortable fit is essential for safety and ease of movement.

Caring for your product

To maintain the flame-resistant properties and structural integrity of your jacket, it is important to follow the recommended care routine. We advise a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C. Exceeding this temperature may degrade the fabric fibres and affect the longevity of the garment's protective features.

Avoid the use of bleach, as harsh chemicals can strip the flame-resistant treatment and damage the carbon fibre threads. For drying, use a low heat setting in the tumble dryer to prevent excessive shrinkage or heat damage to the elastane in the stretch panels.

If ironing is necessary, do not exceed a temperature of 150°C to ensure the fabric remains supple. Finally, this garment should not be dry cleaned, as the solvents used in that process can interfere with the protective characteristics of the Bizflame fabric.
