Product Overview

The PW3 Hi-Vis Rain Coverall is a sophisticated piece of personal protective equipment designed to offer comprehensive foul-weather protection without compromising on modern aesthetics. Part of the well-regarded PW3 range, this coverall is engineered for professionals who require high visibility in challenging environments. It combines a robust waterproof exterior with a breathable interior, ensuring that the wearer remains dry from both external rain and internal moisture build-up.

Key Features

  • Breathable Oxford Fabric: The use of 300D Oxford polyester provides a durable barrier against the elements while allowing moisture vapour to escape, preventing overheating during physical exertion.
  • Functional Storage: Equipped with eight secure pockets, this garment offers ample space for essential tools and personal devices, ensuring they remain protected and accessible.
  • Enhanced Accessibility: Extra-long side leg zips allow for ease of putting the coverall on or taking it off while wearing work boots, saving time and effort on-site.
  • Integrated Kneepad Pockets: Top-loading pockets for kneepads provide essential joint protection for those working at ground level, enhancing comfort throughout the working day.
  • Detachable Hood: The removable hood offers versatility, allowing the wearer to adapt the garment based on weather conditions or personal preference.

Design & Performance

This coverall is constructed from a substantial medium-weight fabric that balances durability with wearer comfort. The shell is a 100% polyester 300D Oxford weave, which is inherently resistant to abrasions and tears. To ensure complete waterproof performance, the fabric is double PU coated, creating a formidable barrier against heavy rain. A stain-resistant finish has been applied to the outer layer, which is crucial for maintaining the high-visibility properties of the orange and black colour scheme, as dirt can often obscure reflective elements.

Internally, the coverall features a lightweight polyester mesh lining in the body to promote airflow, while the sleeves are lined with a smooth polyester taffeta. This combination ensures that the garment does not cling to base layers and allows for a full range of movement. The contemporary design is finished with high-quality reflective tape that meets stringent safety standards, ensuring you remain visible in low-light conditions.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The PW3 Hi-Vis Rain Coverall is well-suited for professional branding. Given the technical nature of the 300D fabric, we recommend embroidery for smaller, more intricate logos on the chest or arms. This provides a professional, high-relief finish that is exceptionally durable. For larger, more prominent branding on the back, our high-quality print services are ideal, delivering bold designs that remain visible even at a distance.

All customisation is handled by our expert in-house team in Telford. Having been established in 1976, we have the technical knowledge to ensure that your branding is applied without compromising the garment's waterproof integrity, providing you with a professional appearance that lasts.

Use Cases

This garment is specifically designed for professionals working in high-risk sectors where visibility and weather protection are non-negotiable. It is an ideal choice for construction workers, tree surgeons, and electricians working on outdoor infrastructure. Plumbers and mechanics will also find the stain-resistant finish and kneepad pockets particularly beneficial for their day-to-day tasks, while security personnel will appreciate the professional silhouette and reliable protection.

Practical Advice

As this is a coverall designed for foul weather, we recommend considering your layering requirements. This garment is designed to fit comfortably over standard work clothing, but if you intend to wear heavy fleeces or multiple layers underneath, you may wish to consider the generous cut of the regular fit. The side leg zips are particularly useful for those who frequently transition between indoor and outdoor environments.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high-visibility performance and waterproof capabilities of this coverall, it is essential to follow the care instructions precisely. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. Exceeding this temperature can damage the PU coating and reduce the effectiveness of the stain-resistant finish.

Do not use bleach, as this will degrade the polyester fibres and significantly dull the high-visibility orange pigment, rendering the garment unsafe for high-risk environments. This product should not be tumble dried; instead, it should be drip-line dried to preserve the integrity of the reflective tapes and the fabric's structure.

Do not iron this garment, as the heat will melt the PU coating and synthetic fibres. Similarly, dry cleaning should be avoided as the chemicals used can strip the protective finishes from the fabric. Please note that the reflective properties are rated for a maximum of 50 washes, after which the garment may no longer meet its original safety specifications.
