Product Overview

The Bizflame Work FR Insulated Coverall is a specialist garment engineered specifically for the rigorous demands of the offshore industry and cold-weather hazardous environments. Building on the robust foundation of our standard flame-resistant range, this coverall incorporates a substantial layer of insulation and a dedicated flame-resistant cotton lining to provide essential thermal protection without compromising on safety. Designed for professionals who cannot allow the temperature to dictate their productivity, this navy coverall offers a comprehensive solution for those requiring high-level protection against flame and heat while working in sub-zero or offshore conditions.

Key Features

  • Triple Stitched Seams: Reinforced stitching across all critical stress points ensures the garment can withstand significant physical strain and prevents premature tearing in industrial settings.
  • Concealed 2-Way Brass Zip: The heavy-duty brass zip provides a secure and reliable closure that is protected from external elements, while the two-way functionality allows for easier access and comfort when seated.
  • Adjustable Knee Pad Pockets: An innovative two-tier system allows for the precise positioning of knee pads, ensuring maximum protection and comfort for tasks involving kneeling on hard surfaces.
  • Secure Slant Chest Pockets: Two front chest pockets featuring concealed brass zips provide safe storage for essential tools and personal items, keeping them accessible yet secure.

Design & Performance

Performance is at the heart of the Bizflame Work fabric. The shell is composed of 99% cotton for natural breathability and comfort, with 1% carbon fibre integrated to provide essential anti-static properties. This heavy-weight outer layer is matched with a flame-resistant polyester filling and a soft cotton lining, creating a thermal barrier that traps heat effectively. The result is a garment that feels substantial and protective, offering the wearer a sense of security when facing both environmental and industrial risks. The triple-stitched construction is a testament to its durability, ensuring that this coverall remains a staple of your workwear wardrobe for multiple seasons.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

For a truly professional appearance, we recommend our high-quality embroidery service for your company logo or staff names. Embroidery is particularly effective on this heavy-weight fabric, providing a durable and prestigious finish that withstands the rigours of industrial laundering. If you require large-scale branding or bold identification on the back of the garment, our heat-applied print options are equally viable. Every customisation is handled by our expert in-house team at our Telford facility, where we have been perfecting workwear branding since 1976.

Use Cases

This coverall is the primary choice for offshore oil and gas workers who face the combined challenges of fire risks and extreme cold. It is also perfectly suited for utility workers, industrial maintenance teams, and any professional operating in hazardous environments during the winter months where thermal protection is a mandatory safety requirement.

Why MyWorkwear

Choosing MyWorkwear means partnering with a company that has nearly five decades of experience. Established in 1976, we have grown from a small operation into a leading UK provider of technical workwear. Our Telford-based team understands the technical nuances of flame-resistant garments, ensuring that every piece of clothing we supply or customise meets our exacting standards of quality and safety.

Practical Advice

As this is an insulated coverall, it has a more generous fit to accommodate the internal padding. We recommend selecting your standard size, but if you intend to wear multiple heavy layers underneath, please consider the additional bulk. Ensure that the leg length is correct to allow the knee pad pockets to sit in the optimal position for your height.

Caring for your product

To maintain the flame-resistant properties and ensure the longevity of the insulated layers, it is vital to follow the specific care instructions provided. Regular maintenance ensures the garment continues to perform as intended and your branding remains clear.

We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures or using aggressive cycles can damage the internal insulation and cause the flame-resistant treatment on the cotton components to degrade prematurely.

Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Bleaching agents will compromise the chemical bond of the flame-resistant treatment and can weaken the cotton fibres, significantly reducing the protective capabilities of the coverall.

This garment should not be tumble dried. Tumble drying can lead to excessive shrinkage of the cotton shell and lining, and the high heat can damage the brass zips and internal polyester filling. Instead, the coverall should be line dried to maintain its shape and structural integrity.

If ironing is required, use a maximum soleplate temperature of 150°C. Excessive heat from an iron can scorch the fabric and damage the anti-static carbon fibres. Finally, do not dry clean this item, as the chemicals used in the dry cleaning process can interfere with the garment's specialised protective finishes.
