Product Overview

The Modaflame Work HVO Multi-Norm Contrast Coverall is an expertly engineered garment designed for individuals operating in high-risk, multi-hazard environments. This substantial coverall offers integrated protection against various industrial threats while maintaining the visibility required for rail and trackside operations. Certified to both RIS and EN ISO 20471 standards, it provides a comprehensive safety solution without compromising on the professional appearance of your team.

Key Features

  • Inherently Flame Resistant: Because the protective properties are built into the fibre itself, the resistance will not diminish with washing, providing lifelong safety for the wearer.
  • Anti-Static Properties: The inclusion of carbon fibre prevents the build-up of static charge, which is essential when working in potentially explosive or combustible atmospheres.
  • High-Visibility Certification: Meeting EN ISO 20471 and RIS standards ensures the wearer is seen in low-light conditions, which is critical for trackside safety.
  • Contrast Colour Design: The navy sections are strategically placed in areas prone to soiling, helping to hide dirt and stains to maintain a clean appearance throughout the shift.

Design & Performance

The Modaflame™ Work HVO fabric is a technical blend of 61% Modacrylic, 18% Viscose, 15% Polyester, 5% Aramid, and 1% Carbon Fibre. This combination results in a sturdy, substantial fabric that feels surprisingly comfortable against the skin. The inclusion of viscose ensures effective moisture management, pulling perspiration away from the body to keep the wearer dry during strenuous activity.

Constructed with durability in mind, the aramid fibres provide exceptional strength and heat resistance. The coverall is built to withstand the rigours of heavy industrial use while the anti-static carbon fibre ensures a high level of technical performance in specialised environments. The two-tone orange and navy aesthetic is as functional as it is professional, designed to look as good at the end of the day as it did at the start.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This coverall is well-suited for both print and embroidery, allowing you to align your safety gear with your corporate identity. Embroidery is the preferred choice for adding company logos or individual staff names, providing a durable and executive finish that stands up to industrial laundering.

For larger, more prominent branding, heat-applied printing is an excellent option. Our in-house team in Telford has been perfecting these techniques since 1976, ensuring that every application is performed with precision. We take care to ensure that any customisation does not compromise the protective qualities of the Modaflame fabric.

Use Cases

This garment is specifically designed for professionals in the rail industry, petrochemical sectors, and any environment where flame resistance and high visibility are mandatory. It is particularly effective for trackside workers who require RIS-compliant clothing that can handle the physical demands of the job.

Practical Advice

Given the sturdy nature of this fabric, it provides a structured fit. If you intend to wear heavy thermal layers underneath during the winter months, you may wish to consider how this will impact your typical sizing. The coverall is designed to be a complete outer layer, offering full-body protection.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high-visibility and flame-resistant properties of this garment, it is essential to follow the specific care instructions provided. Failure to do so can degrade the technical fibres and reduce the overall level of protection.

We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a normal process. Using higher temperatures can damage the modacrylic fibres and lead to garment distortion. It is imperative that you do not bleach this item, as chlorine will irreparably damage the flame-resistant properties and weaken the fabric structure.

If tumble drying is necessary, use a low heat setting to prevent excessive shrinkage. When ironing, ensure the temperature does not exceed 110°C; excessive heat can damage the synthetic components of the blend. Finally, do not dry clean this coverall, as the chemical solvents used in the process can interfere with the technical performance of the multi-norm fabric.
