Product Overview

The Bizweld Work FR Bib and Brace is a high-performance garment engineered for professionals operating in environments where flame resistance is an absolute necessity. Designed to provide comprehensive coverage for the chest and lower body, this bib and brace ensures that safety does not come at the expense of functionality. Constructed from a substantial heavyweight 100% cotton fabric, it offers a sturdy barrier against industrial hazards while maintaining the natural breathability and comfort of a cotton-based textile.

Key Features

  • Integrated Large Chest Flap Pocket: Provides a secure and accessible space for essential tools or personal items, ensuring they remain protected while you work.
  • Adjustable Elasticated Straps: Allows for a tailored, precise fit that accommodates various body shapes and layering requirements, preventing the garment from shifting during movement.
  • Rule Pocket: Specifically designed for the secure storage of measurement tools, keeping them within reach for efficiency on the job.
  • Multiple Storage Options: Featuring two side pockets and a flapped back hip pocket, this garment offers ample room for equipment, reducing the need for external tool belts.

Design & Performance

The performance of this bib and brace is rooted in its 100% cotton Bizweld fabric. This substantial material is specifically treated to offer reliable flame-resistant properties, making it a cornerstone of industrial safety wear. The weave is tight and durable, designed to withstand the rigours of daily use in demanding environments without compromising on the wearer's range of motion. Unlike synthetic alternatives, the cotton composition ensures better moisture management, which is vital for comfort during long shifts in warm or intensive conditions.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

To ensure your team presents a unified and professional appearance, this bib and brace is fully compatible with both print and embroidery. Our in-house branding team, based at our Telford facility since 1976, uses high-specification machinery to ensure your logo is applied with precision. Embroidery is the preferred choice for a traditional, hard-wearing professional finish on the chest flap or pocket areas. Alternatively, print is an excellent solution for larger, bold designs that require high visibility. Given the safety-critical nature of this garment, our experts ensure that the customisation process respects the integrity of the flame-resistant fabric.

Use Cases

This garment is specifically designed for tradespeople and industrial workers in sectors such as welding, metalwork, and electrical engineering. It is ideal for environments where there is a risk of heat or flame exposure and where the wearer requires significant storage for hand tools and measuring equipment.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, consider the layers you intend to wear underneath. As this is a heavyweight protective garment, ensure the elasticated straps are correctly adjusted to distribute the weight evenly across the shoulders, which will prevent fatigue during extended periods of wear.

Caring for your product

To maintain the flame-resistant properties and the structural integrity of the Bizweld fabric, it is essential to follow the specific care instructions provided. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a normal process. Exceeding this temperature can lead to premature fabric degradation and may affect the garment's protective qualities.

Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Bleaching agents can chemically damage the flame-resistant treatment and weaken the cotton fibres, significantly compromising your safety. Similarly, avoid dry cleaning, as the chemicals used in that process are not suitable for this specific technical fabric.

This product should be line dried rather than tumble dried. Tumble drying can cause excessive shrinkage and mechanical wear on the fibres. If ironing is required, use a maximum temperature of 150°C to remove creases while ensuring the fabric remains supple and professional in appearance.
