Product Overview

The Bizweld Work FR Bib and Brace is a specialized piece of protective equipment designed to provide comprehensive coverage for the lower body and chest. Engineered with a primary focus on the safety and protection of the wearer in hazardous environments, this garment utilizes the renowned Bizweld flame-resistant fabric to offer a reliable barrier against heat and flame risks. It is a practical solution for those who require both the freedom of movement provided by a bib-and-brace style and the technical performance of industrial-grade safety wear.

Key Features

  • Comprehensive Storage: Features a large chest flap pocket, a side pocket, a back hip pocket with a flap, and a dedicated rule pocket, ensuring that essential tools and personal belongings are kept secure and within easy reach.

  • Enhanced Durability: The garment is constructed with reinforced seams, which significantly increases the lifespan of the product by preventing splitting under the physical demands of industrial work.

  • Adjustable Comfort: Both the braces and the waist are elasticated, providing a flexible fit that moves with the body and ensures optimal comfort throughout long shifts.

  • Substantial Protection: The design offers full-front torso coverage, which is critical for protecting against sparks and debris during welding or grinding tasks.

Design & Performance

Constructed from Bizweld fabric, this bib and brace is built to withstand the rigours of high-temperature environments. The fabric is substantial and sturdy, providing a reassuring level of protection without being overly restrictive. The navy colour offers a professional look while effectively masking the inevitable dust and grime associated with trade environments. Performance is further bolstered by the reinforced construction; by doubling down on the integrity of the seams, the garment is less likely to fail at stress points, ensuring that it remains a reliable part of your workwear rotation for a significant period.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

Despite its technical nature, the Bizweld Bib and Brace is well-suited for customisation. Embroidery is an excellent choice for this garment, as it provides a professional, high-quality finish for company logos or staff names that can withstand industrial laundering. The chest flap pocket offers a prime location for branding that remains visible even when wearing open jackets.

For larger, more impactful designs, heat-applied print is also an option. Our in-house team at MyWorkwear, based in our Telford facility, has been perfecting these techniques since 1976. We ensure that every application is handled with precision to maintain the professional appearance of your team.

Use Cases

This garment is specifically designed for professionals in the welding and metalwork industries. It is equally appropriate for engineers, industrial maintenance workers, and any tradesperson operating in environments where heat and flame protection are non-negotiable requirements for their daily tasks.

Practical Advice

This bib and brace is designed to be worn over standard base layers. When selecting your size, particularly in this 4XL fit, consider the clothing you intend to wear underneath to ensure full range of motion. The elasticated waist provides some flexibility, but it is always advisable to measure while wearing your typical work shirt to achieve the most accurate fit.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the integrity of flame-resistant garments is essential for ensuring they continue to provide the intended level of protection. Proper care prevents the build-up of flammable contaminants on the fabric surface and preserves the chemical or structural properties that provide safety.

Always follow the specific instructions on the internal care label. Using the correct washing procedures ensures that the protective treatments remain effective and that the reinforced seams do not degrade prematurely. Avoid using any additives that could compromise the fabric's flame-resistant nature, as this is vital for your ongoing safety on the job.
