Product Overview
The C474 Hi-Vis Two Band Vest is a core component of our High Visibility range, designed to provide essential safety for professionals working in demanding environments. This orange vest is characterised by its streamlined design, featuring two horizontal reflective stripes—one across the chest and one around the waist. This configuration ensures the wearer remains visible from various angles in low-light conditions, making it an indispensable layer for site safety.
Key Features
- Two Reflective Stripes: Positioned at the chest and waist, these bands are engineered to catch and return light, ensuring the wearer is clearly identified by vehicle operators and colleagues.
- 100% Polyester Warp Knit: This fabric choice offers a lightweight feel and breathable performance, which is vital for comfort during physically demanding shifts.
- Warp Knit Construction: The specific knit technique provides a stable fabric that maintains its structure and resists fraying over time.
- High-Visibility Orange: The vibrant base colour provides exceptional contrast against industrial and outdoor environments, even before accounting for the reflective elements.
Design & Performance
Constructed from 100% polyester warp knit, this vest is engineered to be a durable yet lightweight addition to your workwear rotation. The fabric is specifically chosen for its ability to withstand the daily pressures of trade work while remaining thin enough to prevent unnecessary heat build-up. The warp knit structure ensures the garment is hard-wearing, providing a professional appearance that doesn't sacrifice the flexibility required for active roles.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The C474 vest is an excellent canvas for company branding. For a sophisticated and enduring professional appearance, we recommend embroidery for smaller logos or staff names on the chest. Our Telford-based team, operating since 1976, uses high-precision machinery to ensure every stitch is perfect. For larger, more impactful designs on the back of the vest, print customisation is the superior choice, offering bold visibility that complements the high-visibility nature of the garment. All customisation is handled in-house to maintain our strict quality standards.
Use Cases
This vest is highly versatile and suited for a wide array of professional sectors. It is essential equipment for those in construction, tree surgery, and electrical contracting. Additionally, it provides the necessary visibility for plumbers, mechanics, and security personnel who require a lightweight layer that does not restrict their range of movement while on the job.

Practical Advice
When selecting your size, please consider the layers you typically wear underneath. This vest is designed as an outer layer; if you intend to wear it over heavy winter jackets or thick sweatshirts, you may find a slightly larger size offers a more comfortable fit and better freedom of movement.
Caring for your product
To ensure this garment continues to provide maximum visibility and maintains its structural integrity, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures can damage the reflective tape and cause the polyester fibres to degrade prematurely.
Do not use bleach, as this will strip the high-visibility pigment from the fabric and render the vest ineffective for safety purposes. This garment should be line dried only; do not tumble dry, as the mechanical action and high heat of a dryer can cause the reflective bands to peel or crack.
Do not iron or dry clean this product. Exposure to the direct heat of an iron will melt the synthetic fibres and the reflective material. It is also important to note that this garment has a maximum service life of 50 washes; beyond this point, the high-visibility properties may no longer meet the required safety standards.
