Product Overview

The Hi-Vis Two Band Dual ID Holder Vest is a fundamental piece of safety equipment, engineered for professionals who require high visibility combined with practical on-site utility. This garment is not merely a standard safety waistcoat; it addresses the specific needs of modern work environments by incorporating a dual-orientation ID holder on the right chest. This ensures that your identification remains secure and legible, whether your credentials are in landscape or portrait format.

Key Features

  • Integrated dual-orientation ID holder, which provides the flexibility to display various identification card formats securely without the need for additional accessories.
  • High-quality reflective tape in a two-band configuration, ensuring you remain visible to colleagues and vehicle operators in low-light conditions.
  • 100% Polyester warp knit fabric, chosen for its balance of breathability and structural durability, preventing the vest from easily snagging or tearing during active use.
  • Hook and loop closure for a secure yet quick-release fit, essential for safety in environments where a snag hazard might be present.

Design & Performance

Designed with functionality at its core, this vest is constructed from a lightweight warp knit polyester. This specific fabric choice ensures that the garment does not become a burden when worn over heavier workwear, such as jackets or sweatshirts. The material is highly breathable, which is a significant advantage during physical labour in warmer months.

In terms of safety performance, this vest is certified to EN ISO 20471 Class 2. This certification signifies that the garment provides a high level of visibility, making it suitable for professionals working near traffic or heavy machinery where safety is paramount.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This vest is an ideal platform for customisation, allowing you to present a cohesive and professional company image. For a superior, long-lasting finish, we recommend embroidery for smaller logos or staff names on the chest. This method provides a texture and durability that stands up well to the rigours of industrial laundering.

For larger branding requirements, such as a prominent company logo on the back, screen printing or heat transfer is particularly effective. This ensures your brand is clearly visible from a distance. All our customisation is performed in-house at our Telford facility, where our team has been perfecting these techniques since 1976.

Use Cases

Given its specific ID holder feature and safety certifications, this vest is perfectly suited for security personnel, site managers, and visitors who must be easily identified. It is also a staple for trades such as electricians, plumbers, and construction workers who operate in environments requiring Class 2 visibility compliance.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, please consider that this vest is often worn as an outer layer. If you intend to wear it over a thick winter parka, you may wish to choose a size that allows for that extra bulk. The yellow fluorescent colour is designed to provide maximum contrast in most daylight conditions, ensuring you are seen well before you are reached.

Caring for your product

To maintain the essential safety properties of the reflective tape and the fluorescent fabric, it is vital to follow the care instructions precisely. We recommend a mild wash process at a maximum temperature of 40°C. High temperatures can damage the heat-applied reflective bands, leading to cracking and a loss of luminosity.

Bleaching agents should never be used, as they will strip the fluorescent dyes from the polyester, rendering the vest non-compliant with safety standards. Similarly, avoid tumble drying; line drying is the safest method to ensure the garment retains its shape and reflective integrity.

Do not iron or dry clean this vest. The intense heat of an iron can melt the synthetic fibres and the reflective material, while dry cleaning chemicals may degrade the fabric's protective finish. Please be aware that this garment is rated for a maximum of 50 washes; beyond this point, the reflective performance may decline below certified safety levels.
