Product Overview

The Result Core hi-vis vest is a fundamental component of professional safety attire, engineered to provide essential visibility without the bulk of traditional outerwear. Designed with a generous cut, this vest serves as a versatile overgarment that fits comfortably over jumpers or jackets, ensuring your team remains visible and compliant across various working environments. The inclusion of deep armholes and a simple tear-release fastening makes it an efficient solution for fast-paced work settings where ease of movement and quick application are paramount.

Key Features

  • Certified Visibility: The fluorescent yellow and orange options meet EN ISO 20471 Class 2 standards, ensuring high-level protection for site-based personnel.
  • Reflective Security: 50mm sewn-on safety tapes are positioned to maximise light reflection, significantly increasing the wearer's presence in low-light conditions.
  • Durable Construction: Grey polyester bound edges prevent the fabric from fraying, extending the lifespan of the garment in demanding environments.
  • Ease of Use: A front tear-release fastening allows for rapid removal, a critical feature for safety in certain industrial contexts.
  • Branding Ready: The tag-free design and ample chest space make this vest an ideal canvas for company logos and identification.

Design & Performance

Constructed from a lightweight polyester fabric, this vest is designed for breathability and comfort during long shifts. While the fabric is light, it is resilient enough to withstand the daily rigours of event marshalling or site visits. The generous sizing is a deliberate design choice, allowing for the vest to be worn over heavy winter clothing without restricting the wearer's range of motion.

It is important to note the technical distinction in safety ratings: the Fluorescent Orange and Fluorescent Yellow versions are fully certified safety vests, with the orange also meeting RIS-3279-TOM standards for rail industry use. All other colour variations are intended for enhanced visibility purposes, making them suitable for event staff or internal warehouse identification where full EN ISO certification may not be a requirement.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This hi-vis vest is particularly well-suited for customisation, offering a wide, flat surface area on both the front and rear. Embroidery is an excellent choice for a professional and permanent finish, ideal for company logos and staff names that need to withstand frequent laundering. The structured nature of the polyester fabric provides a stable base for high-density stitching.

For larger, more impactful designs—such as "EVENT STAFF" or "SECURITY" lettering—direct print or transfer print methods are highly effective. These techniques allow for bold, sharp graphics that remain visible even at a distance. Our experienced in-house team in Telford has been perfecting these customisation techniques since 1976, ensuring your branding is applied with precision and longevity in mind.

Use Cases

The yellow and orange variants are essential for construction sites, logistics hubs, and roadworks where adherence to safety regulations is mandatory. The wider range of colours serves excellently for event marshalling, festival staff, or school trips, where clear identification of different teams or roles is necessary. Its lightweight nature also makes it a popular choice for delivery drivers who require visibility when exiting their vehicles.

Practical Advice

Because these vests are designed as overgarments, they are naturally generous in size. If you are wearing the vest over a light shirt, you may find your standard size provides a very loose fit; however, if you intend to wear it over a heavy parka or technical jacket, we recommend sticking to your usual size to ensure adequate coverage. To maintain the safety rating of the garment, it must always be worn fastened.

Caring for your product

To maintain the high-visibility performance of this vest, we recommend a domestic wash at 40°C. Washing at higher temperatures or using harsh chemicals can degrade the reflective properties of the safety tapes, eventually reducing their effectiveness in low-light environments.

Bleaching must be avoided at all costs, as it will strip the fluorescent dyes from the fabric, rendering the safety certification void. Similarly, do not iron the garment, as direct heat can melt the polyester fibres and damage the reflective tapes. For best results, allow the vest to air dry; avoid tumble drying or dry cleaning, as the mechanical stress and heat of these processes can shorten the lifespan of the garment and its custom branding.
