Product Overview
The Iona Vest in Bottle Green is a functional and reliable safety garment designed for those who require enhanced visibility without the standard fluorescent yellow or orange palette. Crafted from a lightweight warp-knit polyester, this vest provides a professional appearance while ensuring you remain conspicuous in various workplace environments. Its generous sizing makes it an ideal choice for layering over existing workwear, providing a versatile solution for staff identification and safety.
Key Features
- Enhanced Visibility: Certified to EN 17353 Type B3, this vest ensures you are seen in low-light conditions, providing essential safety for the wearer.
- Lightweight Warp Knit Fabric: The 100% polyester construction is specifically chosen for its durability and breathability, ensuring comfort during long shifts.
- Wide Size Range: Available in 4X/5X, this vest is designed to accommodate different body types and allow for easy layering over bulkier clothing.
- Bottle Green Colour: A sophisticated alternative to high-visibility colours, perfect for specific branding requirements or site-specific colour coding.
Design & Performance
The performance of the Iona Vest lies in its warp-knit construction. Unlike standard knits, warp knitting produces a fabric that is resistant to runs and fraying, ensuring the vest maintains its integrity even in demanding work environments. The lightweight nature of the fabric means it does not hinder movement, making it ideal for active roles where agility is required.
Despite its minimal weight, the 100% polyester material is highly resilient. It is designed to withstand the rigours of daily wear while retaining its shape and colour. The inclusion of reflective elements ensures that the vest performs its primary function of visibility effectively, keeping the wearer safe and identifiable at all times.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The Bottle Green fabric of the Iona Vest serves as an excellent backdrop for your company branding. For a sophisticated professional appearance, our embroidery service is ideal for adding company logos or staff names. Embroidery offers a textured, high-quality finish that stands up well to repeated laundering.
If you require larger, more impactful designs, our printing services are the superior choice. This is particularly effective for back-of-vest identification or large-scale promotional graphics. All customisation is handled at our Telford facility by our expert team, who have been perfecting the art of workwear branding since 1976.
Use Cases
This vest is particularly well-suited for logistics and warehouse personnel, event stewards, and site visitors. It is an excellent choice for businesses that require staff to be easily identifiable in environments where full high-visibility compliance is not mandatory but enhanced visibility is preferred for safety and professional coordination.

Practical Advice
When selecting your size, consider what will be worn underneath. If you intend to wear this vest over a heavy winter jacket, the 4X/5X sizing provides the necessary room for a comfortable fit without restriction. For lighter indoor use over a t-shirt or polo, you may find the fit particularly generous.
Caring for your product
Maintaining the performance of your safety vest is essential for both longevity and continued visibility on the job. We recommend a mild wash process at a maximum temperature of 40°C. This ensures the polyester fibres are cleaned effectively without being subjected to excessive heat that could damage the fabric's structure and the custom branding.
Avoid the use of bleach at all costs. Bleaching agents are far too aggressive for warp-knit polyester and will cause the Bottle Green colour to fade and the fabric to weaken significantly, compromising the garment's lifespan.
This garment should be line dried rather than tumble dried. The intense heat of a tumble dryer can cause the synthetic material to warp or lose its shape, which may negatively affect the fit and the positioning of any print or embroidery.
Do not iron this vest. High temperatures from an iron can glaze or even melt polyester, permanently damaging the garment. Similarly, dry cleaning should be avoided as the chemical solvents used can degrade the visibility treatments and the adhesives used in some printing processes.
Finally, please note that this vest is rated for a maximum of 50 washes. Beyond this point, the visibility properties may no longer meet the original safety standards, and for your continued protection, the garment should be replaced.
