Product Overview

The USB Rechargeable Multi-function LED Cap Light is a compact and highly versatile lighting solution designed for professionals who require reliable illumination in demanding environments. This lightweight device is engineered to provide hands-free visibility by easily attaching to the peak of a cap or the brim of a safety helmet. Its multi-functional design extends beyond headwear, featuring a magnetic clip that allows it to be mounted to metal surfaces or worn with the included headband for traditional head-torch functionality.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

While this high-performance light serves as an essential accessory, pairing it with professionally branded workwear ensures your team presents a cohesive and expert image. At MyWorkwear, our Telford-based team has been perfecting garment customisation since 1976. For the caps and uniforms this light is typically used with, we recommend embroidery for a sophisticated, durable finish of company logos and staff names. For larger, more vibrant graphics on hi-vis vests or jackets, our high-quality printing service provides a bold and effective alternative. Every item is processed in-house to ensure it meets our rigorous standards of quality.

Key Features

  • Dual LED Functionality: Includes both a floodlight for broad area illumination and a spotlight for focused tasks, allowing you to adapt the beam to your specific work requirements.

  • Motion Sensor Activation: This intuitive feature allows you to switch the light on and off with a simple gesture, which is particularly beneficial when wearing gloves or when your hands are occupied with tools.

  • USB Rechargeable: Eliminates the need for disposable batteries, providing a cost-effective and environmentally friendly power source that can be topped up at any USB port.

  • IPX4 Water Resistance: Designed to withstand splashes from any direction, ensuring the light remains functional during light rain or in damp work conditions.

  • IP07 Drop Resistance: Built to endure the rigours of a busy worksite, this light is tested to survive accidental drops, ensuring it won't let you down after a minor mishap.

Design & Performance

Constructed from a robust combination of ABS and Polycarbonate, this light is designed for longevity without adding unnecessary weight to your headwear. The inclusion of a magnetic clip provides exceptional versatility, allowing you to secure the light to vehicle panels or internal structures when working in confined spaces. The lightweight nature of the materials ensures that even during extended shifts, the light remains comfortable to wear, while the Nylon headband offers a secure and adjustable fit for all-day use.

Use Cases

This multi-function light is an indispensable tool across various industries. It is particularly well-suited for construction workers and tree surgeons who require hands-free illumination while wearing safety helmets. It also serves as a vital accessory for automotive technicians who can utilise the magnetic mount for under-bonnet inspections. Its compact size and water resistance also make it suitable for veterinary and medical professionals working in varied environments or during emergency call-outs.

Practical Advice

To get the most out of your rechargeable light, we recommend ensuring it is fully charged before the start of a long shift. If you are using it in conjunction with a safety helmet, check the clip tension periodically to ensure a secure fit. When using the motion sensor, ensure the lens area is kept clear of obstructions to maintain consistent sensitivity.

Caring for your product

Maintaining your LED cap light is essential for ensuring long-term performance and clarity of illumination. We recommend regularly wiping the lens and exterior casing with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and debris. Allowing dirt to accumulate on the lens can significantly reduce the light output and may eventually lead to permanent scratching of the Polycarbonate surface.

To preserve the health of the internal rechargeable battery, avoid leaving the device in a fully discharged state for extended periods. It is advisable to charge the unit periodically even when not in regular use, as this prevents the battery cells from degrading. Ensure the charging port is free from moisture or grit before connecting the USB cable to prevent electrical faults.

Do not submerge the light in water or use harsh chemical cleaners, as these can compromise the IPX4 seals and damage the ABS housing. If the headband becomes soiled, it should be washed by hand and allowed to air dry naturally to maintain the elasticity of the Nylon fibers.
