Product Overview

The Russell Collection Women’s short sleeve polycotton easycare poplin shirt is a sophisticated staple designed for the modern professional. Combining the traditional elegance of poplin fabric with the practical demands of a busy working environment, this shirt offers a sharp appearance without compromising on comfort. The tailored design ensures a flattering fit for women, making it an ideal choice for corporate uniforms, hospitality staff, and retail teams who require a consistent and professional image.

Key Features
  • Classic single-button collar: Provides a tidy and professional neckline that maintains its shape throughout the working day.
  • V-shaped pocket over the left chest: A functional addition that offers convenient storage for small essential items while adding a subtle design detail.
  • Rounded hem: Offers versatility in styling, allowing the shirt to look equally professional whether tucked into trousers or worn untucked for a slightly more relaxed silhouette.
  • Short sleeve design: Enhances breathability and ease of movement, making it particularly suitable for indoor environments or warmer climates.

Design & Performance

Constructed from a lightweight blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, this shirt is engineered for durability and ease of maintenance. The poplin weave provides a smooth, fine surface that is both soft to the touch and resilient against the rigours of daily wear. By blending synthetic and natural fibres, the garment benefits from the breathability of cotton and the crease-resistant properties of polyester. This ensures the wearer remains comfortable and looks crisp from the start of their shift until the end.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The fine, tight weave of the polycotton poplin makes this shirt an exceptional candidate for customisation. For a traditional and high-end professional look, we recommend embroidery. Our Telford-based team uses state-of-the-art machinery to ensure your company logo is rendered with precision and longevity. Alternatively, for larger or more complex graphic designs, print provides a vibrant finish that stands out clearly against the fabric. Having been established in 1976, MyWorkwear has the heritage and expertise to ensure your branding is applied to the highest standard.

Use Cases

This shirt is a versatile workhorse suitable for a wide range of industries. It is a preferred choice for front-of-house staff in the hospitality sector, administrative professionals in corporate offices, and customer-facing retail employees. The extensive size range, from XS up to 4XL, makes it a practical solution for outfitting large and diverse teams, ensuring every member of staff feels comfortable and looks unified.

Why MyWorkwear

Since 1976, MyWorkwear has been at the forefront of the UK workwear industry. Operating from our facility in Telford, we pride ourselves on delivering expert-led service and high-quality garments. Our long-standing heritage means we understand the technical requirements of different fabrics and the best methods for customisation, ensuring that every piece of clothing we produce meets the exacting standards our customers expect.

Practical Advice

This shirt is designed with a lightweight fabric, making it an excellent layering piece. During cooler months, it sits comfortably under a blazer or a V-neck jumper without adding bulk. We recommend reviewing our size guide to ensure a correct fit across the shoulders and bust, which will help maintain the professional drape of the garment.

Caring for your product

To ensure your garment continues to look its best and provides a long service life, proper care is essential. Maintaining the fabric's integrity will keep the easycare properties functioning correctly and ensure your branding remains clear.

We recommend a domestic wash at 40°C. This temperature is sufficient to remove daily grime while being gentle enough to prevent the polyester-cotton fibres from degrading prematurely, helping the shirt retain its shape and colour.

The shirt is suitable for tumble drying on a low-to-medium heat setting. Removing the garment promptly from the dryer will take advantage of the easycare finish, significantly reducing the amount of ironing required to achieve a crisp, professional finish.
