Product Overview

The ES1 Essential Hi-Vis Two Band Vest is a cornerstone of site safety, providing high-visibility protection in a functional, straightforward design. This orange waistcoat features a classic two-band reflective tape configuration, ensuring the wearer remains conspicuous in low-light environments or busy workspaces. It is engineered for those who require a reliable, high-visibility layer that does not impede movement or add unnecessary bulk to their work attire.

Key Features

  • Classic reflective tape configuration: Strategically placed bands ensure you are seen from all angles, fulfilling essential safety requirements on site.
  • 100% Polyester Warp Knit: The choice of warp knit fabric provides a stable structure that is resistant to fraying and runs, ensuring the garment survives the rigours of daily use.
  • Generous sizing: Available in sizes up to 4XL, this vest is designed to be worn comfortably over existing workwear or bulky jackets.
  • Hook and loop closure: Allows for quick donning and removal, essential for fast-paced work environments.

Design & Performance

This vest is constructed from a lightweight 100% polyester warp knit fabric. Unlike standard knits, the warp knit technique creates a durable yet breathable material that maintains its shape over time. This makes it an ideal choice for a garment that needs to be worn daily. The fabric’s lightweight nature ensures that the wearer does not overheat during physical exertion, while the vibrant orange hue and high-quality reflective tape provide the necessary visual contrast against complex backgrounds.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The ES1 Essential Hi-Vis Two Band Vest is an excellent canvas for company branding. Our Telford-based team, with expertise dating back to 1976, can customise these vests using either print or embroidery techniques. Embroidery provides a superior, professional finish for smaller company logos and staff names, giving the garment a distinguished appearance. For larger, more impactful designs on the back of the vest, our high-quality printing process ensures your brand is clearly visible to everyone on site.

Use Cases

This versatile garment is suitable for a wide range of professional applications. It is essential equipment for those working in construction, tree surgery, or as electricians and plumbers. It is also widely utilised by mechanics and security personnel who require high visibility to ensure their safety while operating in high-traffic areas or industrial environments.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, consider what you will be wearing beneath the vest. If you intend to wear this over a heavy winter parka or several layers, you may wish to consider a larger size to ensure a comfortable fit. This 4XL version is specifically designed to accommodate larger builds or heavy layering without restricting arm movement.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and visibility of this garment, it should be laundered at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. Exceeding this temperature can damage the polyester fibres and reduce the effectiveness of the reflective bands. We recommend a limit of 50 washes to ensure the high-visibility properties remain within safety standards.

Do not use bleach when cleaning this vest, as harsh chemicals will degrade the fluorescent dyes and the adhesive backing of the reflective tape. The garment should be line dried rather than tumble dried; high heat in a dryer can cause shrinkage and damage the technical components of the fabric.

Ironing is strictly prohibited, as the direct heat will melt the polyester knit and the reflective materials. Similarly, do not dry clean this item, as the solvents used in the process are too abrasive for the specialized high-visibility finish.
