Product Overview
The Hi-Vis Rain Coat 122cm is a meticulously engineered garment designed for those who require maximum coverage during inclement weather. With an extended length of 122cm, this coat provides significantly more protection than standard jackets, shielding the wearer from rain and wind from the shoulders down to the lower legs. Despite its substantial coverage, it remains a lightweight option, ensuring that the wearer is not encumbered by unnecessary bulk while performing their duties.
Key Features
- 122cm Extra-Long Length: This extended design ensures total body protection, keeping the wearer dry even in heavy downpours and driving wind.
- Pack-Away Hood: Offers versatile protection that can be neatly stowed when the rain ceases, preventing it from becoming a snag hazard.
- Zip and Stud Storm Flap: The dual-fastening system creates a secure barrier against water ingress, ensuring the internal clothing remains dry.
- Integrated Radio Loop and Badge Holder: These technical additions are essential for modern professional environments, allowing for secure communication and identification.
- Ample Storage: Large pockets provide sufficient space for tools and personal items, keeping them protected and accessible.
Design & Performance
Constructed from a 190T plain weave 100% polyester fabric with a PVC coating, this coat is built to withstand the rigours of outdoor work. The fabric choice provides a waterproof barrier that is both resilient and flexible. To enhance wearer comfort, the coat features a mesh lining on the yoke only, which aids in breathability without compromising the waterproof integrity of the main shell.
The orange high-visibility fabric ensures the wearer remains conspicuous in low-light conditions or high-traffic areas. The lightweight nature of the fabric makes it an excellent choice for layering over existing workwear, providing seasonal flexibility throughout the year.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The Hi-Vis Rain Coat is well-suited for both print and embroidery, allowing you to align your safety gear with your corporate identity. Embroidery is the preferred choice for a professional and durable finish, ideal for company logos or staff names that need to withstand frequent use. For larger, high-impact branding across the back of the coat, our printing services provide a bold and clear result.
Our expert team in Telford has been handling garment customisation since 1976. We ensure that every logo is applied with precision, maintaining the professional appearance of your workforce while respecting the technical properties of the hi-vis fabric.
Use Cases
This coat is an essential piece of equipment for professionals working in rail, construction, or logistics where high-visibility standards must be maintained during adverse weather. It is particularly useful for site supervisors and outdoor marshals who require a higher degree of protection than a standard-length jacket provides.

Practical Advice
As this rain coat is designed to be worn over other garments, we recommend considering your usual layering habits when selecting a size. It is generously cut to allow for ease of movement, but ensuring a proper fit will prevent any restriction while working. For maximum protection, ensure the storm flap is fully secured and the hood is adjusted correctly during heavy rain.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-visibility performance and waterproof properties of this coat, it is important to follow the specified care instructions. Proper maintenance ensures the garment continues to meet safety standards over its lifespan.
We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. High temperatures can damage the PVC coating and the integrity of the polyester fibres, leading to reduced waterproof effectiveness. Do not use bleach, as this will degrade the orange pigment and the reflective properties of the garment, rendering it unsafe for use.
The coat should not be tumble dried; instead, it should be drip line dried. Excessive heat from a dryer can cause the fabric to warp or the coating to peel. Likewise, do not iron this garment, as the direct heat will melt the PVC coating. Dry cleaning should also be avoided, as the chemical solvents used can strip the protective layers of the fabric.
Please note that this garment has a maximum limit of 25 washes. Beyond this point, the high-visibility properties may no longer meet the required safety certifications, and the coat should be replaced to ensure continued protection.
