Product Overview
The Classic Iona Rain Coat is a well-engineered solution for those who refuse to let the British weather dictate their productivity. Designed with a longer length than standard jackets, this coat provides extended coverage, ensuring that more of your uniform remains dry during heavy downpours. It is part of our enhanced visibility range, featuring reflective elements that ensure you are seen without the requirement for full high-visibility certification.
Key Features
- Longer length design: Offers superior protection for the lower body, which is often neglected by shorter jackets.
- Fully waterproof lightweight fabric: Keeps the rain out without adding unnecessary bulk or weight to your workday.
- Integrated packaway hood: Provides immediate protection when needed and can be tucked away neatly to maintain a professional appearance.
- Back vent and eyelets: Essential for breathability, these features allow air to circulate and prevent the internal condensation often found in waterproof garments.
- Secure storage pockets: Designed to keep your tools and personal items dry and easily accessible.
Design & Performance
Construction is centered around a durable 100% Polyester, 190T weave, finished with a robust PVC coating. This combination ensures that water beads off the surface rather than soaking into the fibres. Despite its substantial protective qualities, the fabric remains lightweight, allowing for ease of movement—a necessity for active roles. The design prioritises both safety and comfort, with the back vent specifically included to manage thermal regulation when the physical demands of the job increase.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The Classic Iona Rain Coat is an excellent canvas for your company branding. For a more formal and textured finish, we recommend embroidery for smaller logos on the chest area. If you require large, bold branding on the back to ensure your company name is visible from a distance, our high-quality print process is the ideal choice.
Our expert team in Telford has been perfecting garment customisation since 1976. We handle everything in-house to ensure your logo is applied with precision, maintaining the professional appearance your business deserves.
Use Cases
This coat is ideally suited for site supervisors, logistics personnel, and outdoor event staff who require reliable rain protection and a degree of enhanced visibility. It is a practical choice for anyone working in environments where being seen is a safety requirement, but full EN ISO 20471 compliance is not mandatory.

Practical Advice
As this is a lightweight waterproof shell, we recommend layering it over a fleece or a thick sweatshirt during the colder months. This allows you to stay warm while the coat handles the wind and rain. For those frequently moving between vehicles and outdoor sites, the packaway hood is particularly useful for maintaining a streamlined silhouette.
Caring for your product
To maintain the waterproof integrity of the PVC coating and the vibrancy of your customisation, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C. Exceeding this temperature can damage the polyester fibres and weaken the bond of the waterproof coating.
Bleaching should be avoided at all costs. Harsh chemicals will strip the protective coating from the fabric, rendering the coat useless in the rain and potentially discolouring your embroidered or printed logo.
This garment should not be tumble dried. High heat in the drying process can cause the PVC coating to peel or melt. Instead, we advise that you drip line dry the coat to preserve its shape and performance.
Ironing is not permitted for this product. The heat from an iron will cause the synthetic fabric and coating to melt instantly. Finally, do not dry clean this item, as the solvents used in the process are too aggressive for the waterproof finish.
