Product Overview

The Hi-Vis Extreme Rain Coverall is a highly technical garment engineered for professionals who require comprehensive protection without compromising on mobility. Constructed from 300 denier stretch Oxford fabric, this coverall offers a sophisticated balance of durability and flexibility. The vibrant orange colour and reflective detailing ensure you remain visible from head to toe, while the mesh-lined shell provides a breathable barrier against the elements. This is a substantial piece of equipment designed for those who work in unpredictable environments where being seen and staying dry are equally critical.

Key Features

  • 11 Innovative Pocket Solutions: Offers extensive storage capacity for tools and personal items, ensuring everything you need is within reach.
  • 300D Stretch Oxford Fabric: The use of stretch material provides a superior range of motion, allowing for easier movement when climbing or bending compared to standard rigid fabrics.
  • Stain-Resistant Finish: A technical coating that repels oil and dirt, helping the garment maintain its professional appearance and high-visibility properties for longer.
  • PU Membrane: Provides a robust waterproof barrier, ensuring you remain dry during sustained rainfall.
  • Ergonomic Design: Tailored to follow the natural movement of the body, reducing fabric bulk and improving overall comfort during long shifts.

Design & Performance

The performance of this coverall is rooted in its Portwest Extreme fabric technology. The 100% polyester, 300D stretch Oxford fabric is a medium-weight material that offers excellent tensile strength while remaining supple enough for active use. The integration of a PU membrane ensures the garment is fully waterproof, while the 100% polyester mesh lining in the body promotes airflow to prevent internal moisture build-up.

To ensure ease of use, the sleeves are lined with a smooth polyester taffeta, allowing the coverall to slide easily over existing clothing layers. Every aspect of the design, from the fit to the pocket placement, has been considered to provide a high-performance shell suit that withstands the rigours of all-weather outdoor work.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

To ensure your team presents a professional appearance, this coverall is suitable for both print and embroidery. Our in-house team in Telford, established in 1976, has decades of experience in applying branding to technical workwear.

Embroidery is an excellent choice for corporate logos or staff names, providing a durable and high-quality finish that withstands regular laundering. For larger, high-impact graphics that need to be clearly visible from a distance, our technical printing processes offer a vibrant and sharp result. We will ensure your branding is applied precisely to maintain the integrity of the waterproof fabric.

Use Cases

This hi-vis coverall is an essential choice for a wide variety of trades. It is particularly well-suited for construction workers, tree surgeons, and utility contractors who face harsh weather conditions. Additionally, it provides the necessary protection and visibility required for electricians, plumbers, and mechanics working in outdoor or low-light environments, as well as security personnel managing large outdoor sites.

Practical Advice

As this is a mesh-lined shell garment, we recommend considering your layering requirements. In colder months, it can be worn over thermal base layers or mid-layer fleeces without restricting movement, thanks to the inherent stretch of the Oxford fabric. Ensure you select your usual size, as the ergonomic design is already patterned to accommodate professional movement.

Caring for your product

To maintain the technical performance of this coverall and ensure it continues to provide maximum protection, it is important to follow the recommended care instructions. We advise a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. This ensures the fabric's waterproof membrane and reflective elements are not compromised by excessive heat.

Do not use bleach, as these harsh chemicals will degrade the polyester fibres and the PU coating, leading to a loss of waterproof integrity. Similarly, do not tumble dry or iron the garment, as high temperatures can melt the technical fabrics and damage the reflective tape. We recommend drip line drying to allow the garment to return to its natural shape.

Please note that this garment is rated for a maximum of 25 washes. Exceeding this limit can reduce the effectiveness of the high-visibility properties, potentially compromising safety standards in the workplace. Regular inspection of the garment's condition is advised after each wash.
