Product Overview

The Youth's Coverall is an essential piece of equipment for any young individual pursuing a path in engineering, mechanics, or the trades. Designed with the same technical rigour as adult workwear, this garment provides a professional appearance while offering the protection required in a workshop or site environment. Manufactured from robust Kingsmill poly-cotton, it is built to withstand the rigorous demands of active work, ensuring that the next generation of professionals is as well-equipped as the current one.

Key Features

  • Multiple Storage Options: Equipped with hip, rule, side, and chest pockets, providing ample space for tools and personal items to be kept close at hand.
  • Integrated Action Back: The specific design of the back allows for a full range of movement, ensuring that reaching or bending is not restricted during technical tasks.
  • Elasticated Side Waist: This feature ensures a secure and comfortable fit, allowing the garment to move with the wearer throughout the day.
  • Excellent Dye Retention: The fabric is engineered to maintain its Forest Nights colour even after multiple washes, keeping the wearer looking professional for longer.

Design & Performance

Performance is at the heart of this coverall. The Kingsmill fabric, a blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, offers a superior balance between the durability of synthetic fibres and the breathable comfort of cotton. This medium-weight material is fully pre-shrunk, meaning it will maintain its shape and size after laundering, which is vital for maintaining a consistent fit in growing youths.

The construction prioritises longevity. By utilizing a high-performance poly-cotton blend, the garment offers excellent resistance to the scuffs and scrapes common in manual work. The Forest Nights shade is not only practical for hiding workspace grime but is also treated for superior colour fastness.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This coverall is an excellent canvas for branding, helping young apprentices or students feel part of a team. At MyWorkwear, our Telford-based team has been perfecting garment customisation since 1976. For a formal and highly durable finish, we recommend embroidery for company logos or individual names. This provides a three-dimensional, premium appearance that withstands heavy-duty use.

Alternatively, if you require larger, high-impact branding across the back, heat-applied print is a superb choice. Both methods are handled in-house to ensure the highest standards of quality control and a professional finish that reflects your business's standards.

Use Cases

This garment is specifically tailored for youths involved in vocational training, school workshops, or assisting in family businesses. It is highly suitable for environments such as automotive garages, construction training centres, and agricultural settings. Whether they are learning to service an engine or assisting with plumbing tasks, this coverall provides the necessary barrier against dirt and debris.

Why MyWorkwear

Choosing MyWorkwear means partnering with a company that has nearly half a century of expertise. Since 1976, we have been providing technical workwear solutions from our base in Telford. We understand the importance of quality, which is why we only stock garments that meet our exacting standards for durability and professional presentation.

Practical Advice

As this is a coverall designed for work, we recommend considering the clothing that will be worn underneath. If the wearer will be layering over heavy trousers or sweatshirts, you may wish to consider the fit carefully to ensure there is no restriction of movement. The side elastication does provide some flexibility, but ease of movement is paramount for safety in a workshop.

Caring for your product

To maintain the integrity of the Kingsmill fabric and ensure your custom branding remains in peak condition, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C. Using a mild process helps to prevent premature wear of the fibres and ensures the garment stays functional for its full intended lifespan.

Bleaching agents should be avoided at all costs, as they will degrade the polyester-cotton fibres and cause significant damage to the dye, leading to a loss of the professional Forest Nights colour. For drying, a low temperature tumble dry is acceptable, though drip line drying is preferred to minimise creasing and ensure the garment retains its shape.

If ironing is required to maintain a crisp appearance, please use a maximum soleplate temperature of 150°C. For garments with print customisation, ensure you iron on the reverse to avoid damaging the transfer. For those requiring a more intensive clean, this product is also suitable for professional dry cleaning using tetrachloroethene.
