Product Overview

The P303 FFP3 Valved Dolomite Respirator represents a high-standard solution for professionals operating in environments where respiratory safety is non-negotiable. Supplied in a pack of ten, these cup-shaped masks are engineered to provide exceptional filtration against harmful dusts, mists, and fumes, meeting the rigorous EN 149 FFP3 standards. Designed with the user's comfort and protection in mind, each respirator balances robust physical barriers with technical features that facilitate easier breathing during long shifts.

Key Features
  • Integrated Exhalation Valve: This feature significantly reduces breathing resistance by allowing warm, exhaled air to escape more easily, preventing heat build-up inside the mask.
  • Internal Foam Gasket: An all-round gasket made from EVA foam provides a superior seal against the face, ensuring that air is filtered through the mask rather than leaking around the edges.
  • Adjustable Nose Clip: Allows the wearer to customise the fit around the bridge of the nose, which is critical for maintaining an airtight seal and preventing safety eyewear from fogging.
  • Wide Adjustable Elastic Bands: These bands ensure the mask remains securely in place without causing undue pressure, accommodating various head sizes for a reliable fit throughout the day.
  • Dolomite Clogging Test (D): This mask has passed the optional Dolomite test, meaning it offers lower breathing resistance for a longer period in very dusty environments.

Design & Performance

Constructed primarily from Polypropylene (PP) with an EVA foam gasket, this respirator is designed to be both lightweight and exceptionally sturdy. The cup-shaped design provides a spacious internal volume, which helps the mask maintain its shape even in humid or demanding conditions. This structural integrity is vital for ensuring the filtration material remains effective and does not collapse against the face.

Performance-wise, the FFP3 rating indicates a high filtration efficiency, capable of handling higher concentrations of hazardous particles than FFP1 or FFP2 alternatives. The inclusion of the exhalation valve is a deliberate design choice to improve wearer compliance; if a mask is comfortable to breathe in, it is more likely to be worn correctly for the duration of the task.

Why No Customisation?

At MyWorkwear, we take safety seriously. This respirator is a piece of certified Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that relies on the integrity of its materials to provide life-critical filtration. Applying embroidery or heat-applied prints would puncture the filtration media or introduce heat that could compromise the synthetic fibres. To ensure your team remains fully protected and that the EN 149 certification remains valid, we provide these masks in their original, unadulterated state.

Use Cases

These respirators are essential for a wide variety of industrial and professional applications. They are particularly suited for carpenters, construction workers, and those involved in chemical handling or welding, where fine particulates are a constant risk. Furthermore, they are suitable for use in healthcare environments, by veterinary professionals, and by painters and decorators who require high-level protection against airborne irritants.

Why MyWorkwear

MyWorkwear has been a cornerstone of the UK workwear industry since 1976. Based in Telford, we have spent decades refining our expertise in both protective clothing and professional apparel. We understand that PPE is not just a purchase but a necessity for the safety of your workforce, which is why we only supply products that meet stringent British and European safety standards.

Practical Advice

For a respirator to function correctly, a perfect seal against the skin is required. We recommend that all users undergo professional face-fit testing before use. Please note that facial hair, including even short stubble, can significantly interfere with the seal of a disposable respirator, potentially rendering the protection ineffective. Ensure the elastic straps are positioned correctly—one at the crown of the head and one at the nape of the neck—for the most secure fit.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and safety of your respirators, proper storage and handling are essential. These masks are designed for single-shift use and should be replaced if they become damaged, damp, or if breathing resistance becomes noticeably higher.

Always store the masks in a cool, dry environment, away from direct sunlight and contaminated areas. Storing them in their original packaging until they are needed prevents the filtration material from absorbing moisture or ambient dust, which would reduce their effective lifespan.

When removing the mask, avoid touching the front of the filter, as this may be contaminated. Instead, use the elastic straps to remove the respirator and dispose of it immediately in accordance with your local health and safety regulations. Proper disposal ensures that captured contaminants are not inadvertently spread throughout your workspace.
