Product Overview

The P351WHR FFP3 Valved Dolomite Fold Flat Respirator is a sophisticated respiratory solution designed for those working in environments with high concentrations of hazardous dusts, fumes, and mists. As an FFP3 rated mask, it provides the highest level of protection within the disposable respirator category. This pack of twenty masks is specifically engineered to handle the rigours of professional use, incorporating the Dolomite optional clogging test to ensure that breathing resistance remains low even after extended exposure to heavy dust.

Key Features
  • FFP3 filtration provides the highest standard of protection against solid and liquid aerosols, ensuring your safety in high-risk environments.
  • The integrated exhalation valve allows for lighter breathing resistance, significantly reducing the effort required to exhale and preventing heat build-up.
  • Passed the Dolomite optional clogging test, which means the mask maintains its breathability and filtration efficiency for longer in dusty conditions compared to standard respirators.
  • Vertical flat-folded design offers a convenient and compact profile, making it easy to store in a pocket or toolkit when not in active use.
  • Individual polybag packaging for each mask ensures that every unit remains hygienic and uncontaminated until the moment you need it.
  • An adjustable nose clip allows for an optimised and secure fit, which is essential for maintaining the integrity of the seal around the face.

Design & Performance

The respirator is constructed using high-quality polypropylene and polyurethane foam, materials chosen for their ability to filter fine particles while remaining comfortable against the skin. The vertical fold design is particularly effective as it creates a larger internal surface area, preventing the mask from collapsing against the face when you inhale. This design, combined with the lightweight nature of the fabric, ensures that the wearer can focus on the task at hand without being distracted by uncomfortable equipment.

In terms of technical performance, the exhalation valve is a critical component for those working in physically demanding roles. It allows warm, moist air to exit the mask quickly, which is especially beneficial for those who also wear safety eyewear, as it helps to reduce lens fogging. The combination of the secure nose clip and soft foam padding ensures a bespoke fit that accommodates various face shapes.

Why No Customisation?

As this is a piece of certified Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) intended for respiratory safety, we do not offer customisation. Any addition of embroidery or heat-applied printing would compromise the physical structure and filtration capabilities of the polypropylene material. To ensure these respirators continue to meet the EN 149 safety standards and provide the intended level of protection, they must remain exactly as manufactured.

Use Cases

These respirators are essential for professionals across numerous sectors, including construction, carpentry, and chemical handling. They are also highly effective for welders, painters, and decorators who may be exposed to fine particulates or hazardous fumes. Given the high filtration rating, they are also widely utilised in healthcare and veterinary settings where protection against airborne pathogens is required.

Practical Advice

To ensure maximum protection, it is vital that the respirator is fitted correctly. We recommend being clean-shaven to ensure the mask can form a tight seal against the skin. Always perform a fit check by exhaling sharply while covering the mask; if you feel air escaping around the nose or cheeks, adjust the nose clip and straps until the seal is airtight. This is a lightweight product, but its effectiveness relies entirely on a proper fit.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the integrity of respiratory protection is paramount for user safety. These respirators are designed as single-use items and should be disposed of after a single shift or if they become damaged or clogged. Attempting to wash or mechanically clean the polypropylene material will destroy the electrostatic properties that trap fine particles, rendering the mask useless against invisible hazards.

Keep the individually wrapped respirators in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight. Storing them in a damp or contaminated area before use can degrade the PU foam and the filtration media, which may lead to a failure in performance when you need it most. Always inspect the mask for any tears or damage to the straps before fitting it to your face.
