Product Overview

The P210WHR FFP2 Valved Dolomite Fold Flat Respirator represents a sophisticated approach to respiratory protection in demanding work environments. Designed to meet the stringent EN 149 standards, this pack of three respirators provides a reliable barrier against harmful particulates while prioritising wearer comfort during extended shifts. The inclusion of the optional Dolomite clogging test ensures that the mask maintains a high level of filtration efficiency and lower breathing resistance even in high-dust atmospheres, preventing the premature "clogging" often associated with standard disposable masks.

Key Features

  • Vertical Flat Fold Design: This allows for easy storage in pockets or toolboxes, with each unit individually wrapped in a polybag to maintain hygiene until the moment it is needed.
  • Exhalation Valve: By facilitating the exit of exhaled air, the valve significantly reduces heat and moisture build-up inside the mask, making it far more tolerable for physical labour.
  • Adjustable Nose Clip and Toggles: These features allow the wearer to achieve a bespoke, airtight seal around the face, which is critical for the effectiveness of any respiratory protection.
  • Dolomite Clogging Test: This additional certification guarantees the mask's performance in environments with very fine dust, ensuring you can breathe easily for longer periods.

Design & Performance

Constructed from lightweight polypropylene with integrated PU foam for a comfortable seal against the skin, the P210WHR is designed to be as unobtrusive as possible. The vertical fold mechanism ensures the mask retains its shape and structural integrity when deployed, fitting a variety of face shapes securely. Performance is anchored by the FFP2 rating, which filters out a high percentage of airborne particles. The exhalation valve is particularly beneficial for those wearing safety eyewear, as it directs moist air away from the face, reducing the likelihood of lens fogging during precision tasks.

Why No Customisation?

As a piece of Category III Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) designed for respiratory safety, this respirator is sold without customisation. Any modification to the material, such as embroidery or heat-applied logos, would create punctures or heat damage that would compromise the filtration performance and invalidate the EN 149:2001 +A1:2009 certification. We prioritise your safety and the integrity of your PPE above branding on these specific items.

Use Cases

These respirators are essential for tradespeople working in environments where dust and non-toxic particulates are a constant factor. This includes construction sites, woodworking shops, and painting projects. They are particularly suited for carpenters, plumbers, and welders who require reliable, portable protection that can be easily stored in a pocket and deployed as needed throughout the working day.

Practical Advice

Before entering a contaminated area, always perform a fit check to ensure the adjustable nose clip and toggles have created a secure seal. If you can feel air escaping around the edges when you exhale, the mask is not fitted correctly. Ensure you are clean-shaven where the mask meets the skin, as facial hair will prevent an effective seal and compromise your protection.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and hygiene of these respirators, they should be stored in their individual polybags in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight or chemical vapours. Proper storage ensures the polypropylene filter media does not degrade before use. Exposure to moisture or contaminants during storage will significantly reduce the mask's lifespan.

Please note that these masks are marked 'NR' for non-reusable. They should be disposed of at the end of a single shift, or sooner if breathing resistance becomes noticeable or the mask becomes physically damaged or soiled. Attempting to clean or wash these respirators will destroy the electrostatic properties of the filter material, rendering them entirely ineffective against microscopic particles.
