Product Overview

The P304WHR FFP3 Valved Dolomite Light Cup Respirator is a critical piece of personal protective equipment designed for high-risk environments where fine dusts, mists, and fibres are present. This pack of ten disposable respirators combines high-level FFP3 filtration with a lightweight cup design to ensure both safety and wearer comfort. Built to meet the stringent EN 149:2001 +A1:2009 standards, this respirator is an essential barrier for professionals working in sectors ranging from construction and welding to healthcare and chemical handling. The inclusion of the Dolomite clogging test certification ensures that the respirator maintains low breathing resistance even after long periods of use in dusty conditions.

Key Features
  • FFP3 Protection Level: Provides the highest level of protection against solid and liquid particles, ensuring your respiratory system is shielded from hazardous airborne contaminants.
  • High-Efficiency Exhalation Valve: Works to significantly reduce heat and moisture build-up inside the mask, which is particularly beneficial when working in hot or humid environments.
  • Dolomite Clogging Test (D): This optional test ensures the mask provides a more comfortable breathing experience and longer-lasting filtration performance in high-dust environments.
  • Metal-Free Construction: The ultrasonic welded and metal-free design makes this respirator suitable for use in industries where metal presence is restricted, such as food processing or certain medical environments.
  • Adjustable Nose Bridge with EVA Foam: The integrated foam padding under the bridge ensures a secure, leak-free seal while preventing the discomfort often associated with long-term mask wear.

Design & Performance

The performance of the P304 respirator is rooted in its technical material composition, utilising polypropylene and polyurethane foam to create a lightweight yet robust structure. The cup-style design is structurally sound, preventing the mask from collapsing against the face during inhalation. This is crucial for maintaining a consistent air pocket for the wearer. The ultrasonic welding of the straps and components ensures there are no needle holes that could compromise the integrity of the filtration.

In terms of performance, the exhalation valve is the standout feature for active tradespeople. It allows exhaled air to leave the mask quickly, preventing the common issue of safety glasses fogging up. Because the mask is exceptionally lightweight, it reduces the physical burden on the wearer during long shifts, making it easier to maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.

Why No Customisation?

We do not offer customisation, such as printing or embroidery, on this product for critical safety reasons. The FFP3 certification relies on the absolute integrity of the filtration material. Any puncture from embroidery or the heat and chemical application of a print could compromise the mask's ability to filter out hazardous particles. To ensure your protection remains uncompromised and the product stays compliant with EN 149 standards, these respirators are sold in their original, un-modified state.

Use Cases

This respirator is designed for professionals across a variety of demanding industries. It is particularly suited for carpenters and construction workers dealing with fine wood or silica dust, as well as welders facing metal fumes. It is also an appropriate choice for chemical handling, tree surgery, and medical environments where FFP3-grade protection is mandated. Plumbers and cleaners working in confined, dusty, or mould-prone areas will also find the high-efficiency valve invaluable for comfort.

Practical Advice

To ensure the P304 respirator provides the rated level of protection, a proper fit test is essential. Users should be clean-shaven in the area where the mask seals against the skin, as facial hair can create gaps that allow unfiltered air to enter. When fitting the mask, ensure the two head straps are positioned correctly—one at the crown of the head and one at the nape of the neck—to maintain even pressure and a secure seal.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the performance of respiratory PPE is a matter of safety, not just cleanliness. Because these are disposable respirators, they should be replaced after a single shift or sooner if breathing resistance becomes noticeable or the mask becomes physically damaged.

Store unused respirators in their original packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or contaminated atmospheres. Exposing the polypropylene material to moisture or chemicals before use can degrade the electrostatic properties of the filter, rendering the mask ineffective.

Never attempt to wash or blow out a disposable respirator with compressed air. Doing so will destroy the delicate fibre structure of the FFP3 filter and potentially expose you to the very dust you are trying to avoid. Once the mask has reached the end of its use, dispose of it according to your local workplace hazardous waste guidelines.
