Product Overview
The ES1 Essential Hi-Vis Winter Bomber Jacket is a fundamental piece of safety equipment designed for those who require both high visibility and thermal protection during the colder months. This garment balances functionality with comfort, ensuring that personnel remain dry and warm without compromising on the visibility required for hazardous environments. Engineered with a focus on durability, the jacket features a robust outer shell and a substantial insulating layer, making it suitable for rigorous daily use on-site or in logistics settings.
Key Features
- Two-Way Front Zip: This allows for greater flexibility when sitting or moving, providing ease of access and improved comfort during various physical tasks.
- Studded Storm Flap: Positioned over the primary fastening, this flap prevents wind and rain from penetrating the zip line, ensuring internal dry conditions.
- Knitted Storm Cuffs: These provide a secure fit around the wrists, effectively sealing out cold drafts and moisture while keeping sleeves in place.
- Stain Resistant Finish: The outer fabric is treated to repel oil and water, ensuring the garment remains clean and the high-visibility colour stays effective for longer.
Design & Performance
The jacket is constructed from a heavy-duty 300D Oxford weave polyester. This fabric is specifically chosen for its high resistance to abrasion and tearing, making it an ideal choice for demanding industrial roles. The material has been double PU coated, which provides a reliable barrier against water penetration while maintaining a professional appearance.
Inside, the garment features a full polyester lining and a dedicated polyester filling. This insulating layer is designed to trap heat effectively without adding excessive bulk, allowing for a full range of motion. The orange colourway is designed to provide maximum contrast in low-light conditions, ensuring the wearer remains conspicuous to vehicle operators and colleagues.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
This bomber jacket is well-suited for both print and embroidery, allowing you to align your team's appearance with your corporate identity. Embroidery is the preferred method for adding company logos or staff names to the chest area, providing a durable and professional finish that stands up to the rigours of outdoor work.
For larger branding requirements, such as bold company names across the back, heat-applied print is an excellent alternative. Our in-house production team in Telford has been perfecting these techniques since 1976, ensuring that your branding is applied with precision and longevity in mind.
Use Cases
This jacket is primarily intended for outdoor professionals working in construction, roadworks, and rail sectors where high-visibility clothing is a mandatory safety requirement. It is equally effective for warehouse and logistics staff who frequently move between temperature-controlled environments and outdoor loading bays during the winter season.

Practical Advice
As this is an insulated winter jacket, we recommend considering the layers typically worn beneath it when selecting your size. If you frequently wear heavy sweatshirts or fleeces, the generous cut of this bomber jacket should accommodate them, but please ensure a fit that allows for full torso rotation. The knitted cuffs are designed to sit under gloves if necessary to create a complete weather seal.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-visibility performance and the integrity of the weatherproof coating, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. Washing at higher temperatures or using aggressive cycles can prematurely degrade the PU coating and the reflective properties of the garment.
Bleaching agents must be avoided at all costs. Chlorine and other bleaches will damage the polyester fibres and strip the fluorescent orange pigment, which would render the garment unsafe for high-visibility use.
The jacket should not be tumble dried or ironed. Exposure to high heat from a dryer or iron can melt the PU coating and damage the internal insulation. Instead, we advise that the garment is drip-dried on a line. Additionally, this item is limited to a maximum of 50 washes; beyond this point, the reflective and fluorescent qualities may no longer meet the required safety standards.
