Caring for your product
To maintain the technical performance of your jacket, it is essential to wash it using a dedicated waterproof cleaner or pure soap. Conventional household detergents contain surfactants that can strip away the waterproof coating and clog the breathable pores of the membrane, leading to a loss of functionality.
Avoid the use of bleach, water softeners, and fabric conditioners. These substances can damage the recycled polyester fibres and the elastane within the softshell, reducing the garment's lifespan and elasticity. Ensure all fasteners, including zips and hook-and-loop tabs, are closed before washing to prevent them from abrading the technical fabrics.
The garment can be tumble dried on a low setting. This is actually beneficial for the DWR finish, as the heat helps to regenerate the water-repellent properties of the fabric. If the outer fabric begins to absorb water rather than beading it off, we recommend using a reproofer to restore its original performance levels.
