Product Overview

The DX4 Hi-Vis Winter Coverall represents a significant advancement in protective workwear, designed for professionals who refuse to let the British winter dictate their productivity. This coverall combines a fresh, dynamic design with a superior stretch fabric that manages to be both breathable and incredibly resilient. It is a substantial, medium-weight garment that provides comprehensive protection against the elements while maintaining a professional silhouette. Every detail, from the ergonomic tailoring to the advanced thermal lining, has been engineered to ensure that you remain visible, warm, and capable of performing your duties in the most demanding conditions.

Key Features

  • HiVisTex Pro heat-applied reflective tape: This segmented tape increases visibility in low-light environments while offering significantly more flexibility than traditional stitched reflective strips, allowing for a better range of movement.
  • Texpel Splash water-resistant finish: This specialised coating repels water and grime, preventing the fabric from becoming saturated and ensuring the garment stays cleaner for longer.
  • InsulatexPro padded insulation: An advanced thermal lining that offers exceptional warmth by trapping body heat without the unnecessary bulk associated with standard winter gear.
  • Articulated sleeves and stretch fabric: Pre-shaped arms and a flexible fabric base ensure that the garment moves with the wearer, reducing resistance during physical tasks.
  • Brushed micro-fleece collar: This provides essential warmth and comfort against the neck, preventing irritation and protecting against biting winds.

Design & Performance

Performance is at the heart of the DX4 range. The use of a breathable stretch fabric ensures that even during periods of high physical exertion, moisture is effectively managed to prevent the chilling effect of perspiration. The InsulatexPro insulation is remarkably lightweight despite its thermal efficiency, ensuring that the coverall remains a medium-weight solution that doesn't weigh the wearer down. The high-contrast orange and black design is not merely aesthetic; it is a practical choice that highlights the wearer in hazardous environments while concealing dirt on high-contact areas like the lower legs and cuffs.

Why No Customisation?

We provide this specific coverall as a non-customised item to protect its technical integrity. As a piece of high-specification personal protective equipment (PPE), any additional embroidery or heat-printing could potentially compromise the water-resistant Texpel finish or the breathable membrane. Furthermore, maintaining the original certified placement of the HiVisTex Pro reflective tape is essential for ensuring the garment continues to meet stringent safety standards on-site.

Use Cases

This coverall is designed for the rigours of outdoor industries such as rail, road maintenance, and civil engineering. It is the ideal choice for workers who require full-body protection against the cold and wet while needing to remain highly visible to moving vehicles or heavy machinery. Whether you are managing a site or working at the coalface, this garment provides the safety and thermal regulation required for long shifts in exposed locations.

Why MyWorkwear

Since 1976, MyWorkwear has been the trusted partner for British industry. Based in Telford, we have spent decades refining our expertise in technical garments and PPE. We understand that your workwear is more than just a uniform; it is a tool that allows you to do your job safely and comfortably. Our heritage in the trade means we only select products that we know can withstand the realities of a hard day's work.

Practical Advice

The DX4 Winter Coverall is designed with a generous fit to accommodate the InsulatexPro padding. We recommend ordering your usual size, as there is sufficient room for standard base layers to be worn underneath. To maximise the benefit of the articulated sleeves, ensure the garment is pulled up properly at the waist using the internal adjustments if present, allowing the elbow segments to align correctly with your joints.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance of the technical fabrics and the luminosity of the reflective tape, we recommend a domestic wash at 40°C. Using higher temperatures can degrade the adhesive on the heat-applied reflective tape and eventually cause it to peel, which would compromise your safety on-site.

Avoid the use of bleach or biological detergents, as these chemicals can break down the Texpel Splash finish and dull the fluorescent dyes. For the best results, the garment should be line dried. Mechanical drying in a tumble dryer may cause the insulation to clump or the outer shell to lose its water-repellent properties.
