Product Overview
The Bizweld Work FR Trousers are a primary line of defence for professionals operating in environments where heat and flame hazards are a daily reality. Engineered from specially treated 100% cotton, these trousers are designed to offer multi-purpose protection without compromising on the wearer's range of motion. They provide a reliable barrier against radiant heat and are specifically designed to withstand the rigours of welding, including protection against molten iron splashes. This makes them an essential component of a protective workwear uniform for those in high-temperature industrial sectors.
Key Features
- Dedicated Rule Pocket: Provides a secure and accessible space for essential measuring tools, ensuring they are always within reach during precision tasks.
- Functional Side Pockets: Offers ample storage for personal items and small tools, enhancing the practicality of the garment on the shop floor.
- Reflective Tape at Leg Ends: Increases visibility in low-light conditions or busy industrial environments, contributing to the overall safety profile of the wearer.
- Specialised Bizweld Fabric: The 100% cotton construction is treated to provide excellent welding properties, ensuring the garment remains a dependable shield against thermal risks.
Design & Performance
Constructed from a substantial, heavy-weight cotton fabric, the Bizweld Work FR Trousers are built for durability in demanding settings. The natural breathability of the cotton helps manage moisture and temperature, which is vital when working near heat sources. The design focuses on a comfortable fit that allows for the physical demands of manual labour, while the flame-resistant properties are integrated into the fabric to ensure performance remains consistent over time. The addition of reflective detailing at the hem is a thoughtful safety inclusion for workers moving between different lighting zones.

Practical Advice
For maximum protection, these trousers should be worn as part of a complete flame-resistant outfit, including a matching FR jacket or top. When selecting your size, consider the need for ease of movement; a slightly looser fit can often improve comfort when bending or kneeling in a workshop environment.
Caring for your product
Maintaining the integrity of flame-resistant garments is crucial for continued safety. We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. High temperatures can cause the cotton fibres to shrink and may eventually affect the protective finish.
Do not use bleach when cleaning these trousers. Bleaching agents can chemically damage the flame-resistant treatment and weaken the cotton fabric, significantly reducing the garment's protective capabilities.
To preserve the life of the trousers, they should not be tumble dried. Instead, line dry the garment. Avoiding the high heat of a tumble dryer prevents excessive wear and tear on the fabric and the reflective tape.
If ironing is required, use a maximum sole-plate temperature of 150°C. This ensures the trousers remain professional in appearance without risking thermal damage to the treated fibres. Finally, do not dry clean this garment, as the solvents used in the process can interfere with the flame-resistant properties.
