Product Overview

The Bizflame Work FR Jacket is a professional-grade protective garment designed for those working in environments where flame resistance is a non-negotiable safety requirement. Built to offer a balance of high-level protection and daily comfort, this jacket ensures that safety does not come at the expense of mobility. As part of our Flame Resistant Multi-Norm range, it provides a reliable barrier against heat and flame while maintaining a professional grey aesthetic suitable for a wide variety of industrial settings.

Key Features
  • Concealed Mobile Phone Section: Integrated within the chest pocket, this feature ensures your essential technology remains secure and protected from environmental hazards while remaining easily accessible.
  • Dedicated Radio Loop: A practical addition that allows for the secure attachment of communication devices, ensuring you remain hands-free and connected on-site.
  • Chest Storage: Functional pocket space provides ample room for essential tools or documentation, keeping your equipment organised throughout the working day.
  • 99% Cotton Composition: The high cotton content ensures the fabric remains breathable and comfortable against the skin, reducing the risk of heat stress during long shifts.
  • 1% Carbon Fibre Integration: This subtle addition provides essential anti-static properties, which is a critical safety feature in specific technical environments.

Design & Performance

Constructed from a substantial and sturdy fabric, the Bizflame Work FR Jacket is built to withstand the rigours of demanding manual work. The choice of a 99% cotton and 1% carbon fibre blend is intentional; it provides the natural comfort and breathability of cotton while the carbon fibre ensures the garment meets anti-static requirements. The fabric's weight is significant enough to offer durable protection and longevity, yet it remains flexible enough for active movement. The concealed fastenings and streamlined design reduce the risk of snagging on machinery, further enhancing its performance in high-risk zones.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

Despite its specialised protective properties, this jacket is well-suited for customisation to reflect your company branding. Embroidery is the preferred choice for a professional and long-lasting finish, particularly for company logos and staff names, as it stands up exceptionally well to industrial laundering. For larger, more vibrant branding, high-quality heat transfer printing is also an option. Our in-house team in Telford has been providing expert customisation services since 1976, ensuring that your branding is applied with precision without compromising the garment's protective integrity.

Use Cases

This jacket is an essential piece of equipment for professionals in the power generation, petrochemical, and electrical engineering sectors. It is equally appropriate for welders and industrial technicians who require reliable flame resistance. The neutral grey colour makes it a versatile choice for larger teams where a uniform, professional appearance is required alongside strict safety compliance.

Practical Advice

For maximum protection, we recommend pairing this jacket with compatible flame-resistant trousers and base layers. When selecting your size, consider the layers you typically wear underneath; a slightly more generous fit can help maintain an insulating layer of air, which can enhance thermal protection. Ensure all fastenings are fully closed when in hazardous areas to guarantee the garment performs as intended.

Caring for your product

To maintain the protective properties and professional appearance of your Bizflame jacket, proper maintenance is essential. Neglecting care instructions can significantly reduce the effective lifespan of the flame-resistant treatment.

We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. High-temperature washes can lead to premature wear of the cotton fibres and may cause the garment to lose its shape over time.

Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Bleaching agents are highly detrimental to flame-resistant fabrics and can chemically strip away the protective qualities, leaving the wearer at risk.

This jacket should not be tumble dried. To prevent shrinkage and preserve the integrity of the anti-static carbon fibres, the garment should be allowed to dry naturally. Similarly, professional dry cleaning should be avoided as the solvents used can interfere with the fabric's specialised finish.

If ironing is necessary, use a maximum soleplate temperature of 150°C. Keeping the jacket pressed ensures your team maintains a sharp, professional image, but excessive heat must be avoided to prevent damage to the fabric structure.
