Product Overview
The Bizflame Work FR Bib and Brace is a piece of precision-engineered safety equipment designed for professionals operating in environments where flame resistance and visibility are paramount. Constructed from a substantial, heavy-weight fabric, this garment offers a robust shield without sacrificing the wearer's mobility. Every element, from the double-stitched reflective tape to the strategic pocket placement, has been designed to withstand the rigours of industrial life while ensuring you remain visible in low-light conditions.
Key Features
- High-Visibility Reflective Tape: Double-stitched for enhanced durability, ensuring the tape remains secure and effective through repeated laundering and heavy use.
- Triple-Stitched Seams: These reinforced seams provide superior strength at the garment's most vulnerable points, significantly extending its service life in demanding manual roles.
- Five-Pocket Configuration: Includes two front patch pockets, a dedicated rule pocket, a secure front chest pocket, and a flapped back pocket with stud closure, allowing for organised storage of essential tools and personal items.
- Adjustable Bottom Leg Openings: Provides the flexibility to achieve a secure fit over different types of safety footwear, preventing the hem from catching or dragging.
Design & Performance
This bib and brace is manufactured from Bizflame Work fabric, a sophisticated blend of 99% cotton and 1% carbon fibre. The high cotton content provides the breathability and comfort required for long shifts, while the carbon fibre integration provides essential permanent flame-resistant properties. The fabric is a substantial weight, offering a tactile sense of protection and a structured fit that holds its shape even under the strain of heavy-duty tasks.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
For those looking to maintain a professional brand image alongside safety standards, this garment is perfectly suited for both embroidery and print. We recommend embroidery for company logos and staff names on the chest area to achieve a traditional, high-quality finish that lasts. Alternatively, heat-applied print is an excellent choice for larger, more intricate graphics that require a bold visual impact. Our expert team in Telford, established in 1976, manages all customisation in-house to ensure the highest standards are maintained without compromising the garment's protective properties.
Use Cases
This garment is specifically engineered for professionals in the petrochemical, utility, and heavy engineering sectors. It is an ideal choice for tradespeople who require full-body protection against heat and flame while needing the functional benefits of a bib and brace design, such as improved ventilation compared to a full coverall and the convenience of multiple storage options.

Practical Advice
The Bizflame fabric is substantial, so we recommend considering your layering requirements. If you intend to wear heavy thermal base layers beneath the bib and brace during winter months, ensure you check the sizing carefully to maintain a full range of movement. The adjustable leg openings are particularly useful when switching between standard safety boots and larger rigger-style footwear.
Caring for your product
To maintain the flame-resistant integrity and professional appearance of this garment, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C. Exceeding this temperature may lead to premature degradation of the fabric fibres and affect the longevity of any custom branding.
Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Bleaching agents will compromise the chemical structure of the Bizflame fabric and can severely damage the integrity of the high-visibility reflective strips.
Tumble drying should be performed on a low setting. High heat during the drying process can cause unnecessary shrinkage and may affect the adhesion of printed logos. Whenever possible, air drying is a safer alternative to preserve the garment's shape.
If ironing is required, use a maximum soleplate temperature of 150°C. Excessive heat from an iron can damage the carbon fibre components and the reflective tape. This garment must not be dry cleaned, as the chemicals used in that process can strip the protective properties from the fabric.
