Product Overview

The Bizflame Hi-Vis FR Vest is a specialist piece of protective equipment designed for professionals working in environments where flame resistance and high visibility are non-negotiable. Engineered from a sophisticated warp-knitted fabric, this vest combines safety with practicality, ensuring that the wearer remains visible and protected without the burden of a heavy or restrictive garment. It is specifically tailored for those who require anti-static properties alongside heat protection in warmer working conditions.

Key Features

  • 5cm Wide Silver Reflective Strips: Two bands around the body and one over each shoulder ensure you remain highly visible to colleagues and vehicle operators from all angles.

  • Bizflame Fabric Technology: The 98% polyester and 2% carbon fibre blend provides inherent flame resistance and anti-static protection, essential for hazardous environments.

  • Warp Knitted Construction: This specific knitting technique offers a durable yet breathable finish, allowing for better airflow when working in high temperatures.

  • Lightweight Design: The fabric choice prioritises comfort, making it an ideal choice for layering over existing workwear without adding unnecessary bulk.

Design & Performance

The performance of the Bizflame Hi-Vis FR Vest lies in its technical composition. By incorporating 2% carbon fibre into the weave, the garment effectively manages static electricity, which is a critical safety feature in volatile atmospheres. The warp-knitted structure ensures the vest maintains its shape over time while remaining flexible enough for active tasks. As a lightweight garment, it is particularly effective in summer months or indoor environments where heat stress is a concern, yet safety standards must be maintained.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This vest is suitable for both print and embroidery, allowing you to align your safety gear with your corporate identity. Embroidery is an excellent choice for adding a permanent, professional touch such as company logos or staff names, providing a finish that withstands the rigours of the workplace. For larger, high-impact branding or safety messaging on the back, our high-quality printing process ensures bold visibility.

Every customisation is handled by our expert in-house team in Telford. With MyWorkwear having been established in 1976, we bring nearly half a century of technical expertise to every garment we brand, ensuring your logo looks as professional as the person wearing it.

Use Cases

This vest is designed for use in industries such as utilities, petrochemicals, and construction where flame-resistant and anti-static properties are mandatory. It is particularly well-suited for site visitors, supervisors, or workers in warm climates who require high-visibility protection that meets stringent safety specifications without the warmth of a full jacket.

Why MyWorkwear

Choosing MyWorkwear means partnering with a British business that understands the technical requirements of the modern workforce. Based in Telford and operating since 1976, we have spent decades refining our processes to ensure that your workwear is not only compliant with safety standards but also represents your business to the highest standard.

Practical Advice

Given its lightweight nature, this vest is designed for easy layering. We recommend checking your specific site safety requirements to ensure that the hi-vis coverage provided by a vest is sufficient for your role. When selecting a size, consider whether it will be worn over a t-shirt or a bulkier flame-resistant sweatshirt to ensure a comfortable fit that does not restrict movement.

Caring for your product

To maintain the integrity of the flame-resistant properties and the clarity of the reflective tape, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C using a mild process. High temperatures or harsh cycles can degrade the technical fibres and reduce the garment's lifespan.

You should avoid the use of bleach at all costs, as it will damage the chemical structure of the flame-resistant fabric and compromise your safety. For the same reason, this garment should not be dry cleaned.

We advise that you drip line dry the vest rather than using a tumble dryer. Excessive heat from a dryer can cause the reflective strips to crack or peel. Furthermore, do not iron this garment; the synthetic composition and reflective elements are sensitive to direct heat and may melt or distort.
