Product Overview

The Kustom Kit Women's Corporate Top is a technical evolution of the standard professional t-shirt, designed specifically for environments that require a balance of formality and practical comfort. Featuring a distinctive keyhole detail at the neck and a structured mandarin collar, this garment offers a more polished silhouette than a traditional crew neck. Constructed from a substantial, heavy-weight cotton jersey, it provides the opacity and drape required for a professional business setting while remaining breathable for all-day wear.

Key Features
  • The stand-up mandarin collar with self-fabric bound front neck provides a structured frame that maintains its professional appearance even after long shifts.
  • The integrated elastane fabric allows for an enhanced fit, ensuring the garment moves with the wearer and retains its shape rather than sagging over time.
  • Shaped side seams deliver a tailored, feminine silhouette that complements a wide range of body types within a regular-fit profile.
  • Self-fabric taped shoulder seams provide essential reinforcement to the garment's structure, preventing the 'hanger-stretch' often seen in lower-quality jersey tops.
  • Twin-needle stitching on the hem and cuffs ensures the edges remain flat and durable, resisting the fraying and unravelling associated with daily commercial use.

Design & Performance

The fabric composition of 95% cotton and 5% elastane is selected for its superior performance in a workspace. The high cotton content provides excellent moisture-wicking properties and a soft hand-feel, while the elastane provides the necessary stretch-and-recovery. This means the top can withstand the physical demands of active roles—such as those in hospitality or retail—without losing its original tailored shape.

The heavy-weight jersey material is a deliberate choice for corporate wear. It offers a more substantial feel than standard promotional clothing, ensuring that the garment hangs correctly and provides a professional level of coverage. The inclusion of a woven back neck label reflects the garment's quality and attention to detail.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This corporate top is an excellent canvas for both print and embroidery. For a truly professional appearance, we recommend embroidery on the chest or even the mandarin collar; the fabric's heavy-weight nature supports high-density stitching without puckering, making it ideal for company logos or staff names.

If your branding requires larger graphics or a more modern aesthetic, our print services offer vibrant results that integrate well with the smooth cotton surface. All customisation is managed in-house at our Telford facility by a team with expertise dating back to 1976, ensuring your brand is represented with precision and durability.

Use Cases

This garment is perfectly suited for front-of-house staff in the hospitality industry, retail management teams, and corporate office environments where a smart-casual uniform is preferred. It bridges the gap between a casual t-shirt and a formal blouse, making it versatile for both customer-facing roles and administrative duties.

Why MyWorkwear

Since 1976, MyWorkwear has been at the forefront of the UK workwear industry. Operating from our specialised facility in Telford, we combine decades of technical knowledge with modern branding techniques. We understand that your uniform is a reflection of your business standards, which is why we only partner with brands like Kustom Kit that meet our rigorous criteria for quality and durability.

Practical Advice

The regular fit of this garment is designed to be true to size, covering a range from 8/10 to 20/22. Because of the elastane content, the top will sit closer to the body than a 100% cotton garment; if you prefer a looser drape, you may wish to consider the larger side of your dual-size range. It layers perfectly under a tailored jacket or a corporate cardigan for a year-round uniform solution.

Caring for your product

To maintain the structural integrity of the mandarin collar and the elasticity of the fabric, we recommend a machine wash at 40°C on a permanent press cycle. This temperature is sufficient to remove daily oils and dirt while protecting the elastane fibres from heat degradation.

Do not use bleach, as this will weaken the cotton fibres and cause the elastane to become brittle, resulting in a loss of fit. Similarly, this garment should not be tumble dried; high heat can lead to shrinkage and distortion. Instead, reshape the top while damp and allow it to air dry naturally.

For a crisp finish, use a two-dot iron setting. Avoid ironing directly over any custom prints or embroidery to ensure the longevity of your branding and to prevent damage to the decorative elements.
