Product Overview

The Kustom Kit KK770 is a sophisticated alternative to the standard t-shirt, designed specifically for corporate environments where a polished image is paramount. This short-sleeved top combines the comfort of a jersey knit with the formal structure of a mandarin collar and v-neck, providing a professional silhouette that remains comfortable throughout a long shift. Constructed from a substantial cotton-elastane blend, it offers a regular fit that provides a tailored appearance without being restrictive.

Key Features
  • Mandarin collar with a v-neck: Provides a clean, contemporary look that bridges the gap between casual and formal workwear.
  • Elastane-infused fabric: The addition of stretch ensures the garment retains its shape and provides a comfortable fit that moves with the wearer.
  • Taped shoulder seams: Reinforced stitching at the shoulders prevents the garment from stretching out of shape, ensuring it maintains a sharp profile even after repeated wear.
  • Twin-needle hem and cuffs: This double-stitched finish provides a clean edge and increases the durability of high-stress areas.
  • Fused facing around the neck: This structural detail ensures the v-neck remains crisp and flat, preventing it from sagging or losing its shape over time.

Design & Performance

This top is crafted from a heavyweight cotton jersey, offering a more substantial feel than typical promotional garments. The 95% cotton content ensures maximum breathability, keeping the wearer cool in busy indoor environments, while the 5% elastane provides the necessary flexibility for active roles. The inclusion of shaped side seams allows for a more refined appearance that adheres to a professional dress code while providing the ease of movement required in hospitality or office settings. The fabric is durable enough for daily use yet soft enough to remain comfortable against the skin.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The substantial weight and smooth surface of the KK770 make it an ideal canvas for both print and embroidery. For a superior finish in a corporate setting, we recommend embroidery. Our in-house team in Telford uses high-precision machinery to apply logos and names that provide a durable, three-dimensional finish. Alternatively, for larger promotional designs or bold branding across the back, our printing processes ensure vibrant colours and sharp detail. Having been established in 1976, MyWorkwear has the technical expertise to ensure your branding is applied with precision, maintaining its integrity wash after wash.

Use Cases

This garment is particularly well-suited for front-of-house staff in hospitality, receptionists, and corporate office teams. Its hybrid design makes it an excellent choice for businesses that want a step up from a standard polo shirt but require more comfort and flexibility than a traditional woven blouse. It is also a popular choice for beauty and wellness professionals who require a smart, uniform appearance with the freedom of movement provided by stretch jersey.

Practical Advice

The regular fit and elastane content mean this top is true to size while offering a comfortable degree of stretch. We recommend referring to the size guide to find your ideal fit, especially if you plan to wear this as a base layer under a blazer or cardigan. For those in between sizes, the elastane content allows for a more forgiving fit than a non-stretch garment. If you are ordering for a large team, consider requesting a size sample to ensure consistency across your staff.

Caring for your product

To maintain the structural integrity and colour density of your garment, we recommend a machine wash at 40°C using a cycle for delicates. Excessive heat or vigorous cycles can break down the elastane fibres over time, causing the garment to lose its elasticity and shape.

Avoid the use of bleach, as this will degrade the cotton fibres and cause significant discolouration to both the fabric and your custom branding. We also advise against dry cleaning, as the chemical processes can be too harsh for the fused facings and elastane components.

This item should not be tumble dried. High heat from a dryer can cause the elastane to snap and the cotton to shrink, leading to a distorted fit. Instead, allow the garment to air dry naturally to ensure it retains its original shape.

When ironing, use a medium heat setting (two dots). This ensures the cotton is pressed smoothly without scorching the elastane. For best results, iron the garment inside out, especially around any embroidered or printed areas, to protect the longevity of your custom logo.
