Product Overview
The Kustom Kit Sophia v-neck polo is a meticulously designed garment that bridges the gap between casual comfort and professional utility. This regular-fit polo offers a more feminine silhouette than standard unisex options, featuring a distinctive v-neck coupled with a narrow two-button placket. The inclusion of Lycra within the cotton weave ensures the garment moves with the wearer, providing a flexible fit that maintains its shape throughout the most demanding shifts.
Key Features
- Cotton-Lycra Blend: The 98% cotton and 2% Lycra composition provides a soft, breathable feel with enough stretch to ensure freedom of movement and consistent shape retention.
- Ribbed Flat Knit Collar and Cuffs: The 1x1 rib construction is engineered to prevent curling and maintain a sharp, professional appearance after multiple washes.
- Reinforced Construction: Taped shoulder seams and a self-fabric back neck tape provide structural integrity, ensuring the polo does not lose its form at high-stress points.
- Detailed Stitching: Twin-needle stitching at the hem and single-needle work around the armholes and cuffs offer a clean finish while significantly increasing the garment's longevity.
- Functional Side Vents: These allow for a greater range of motion at the hip, preventing the fabric from bunching when seated or moving actively.
Design & Performance
The Sophia polo is engineered for performance in active work environments. The medium-weight fabric offers a substantial feel without being restrictive, making it suitable for year-round wear. The blend of natural cotton with high-quality elastane allows for a 'relaxed slim fit'—offering a modern look that remains comfortable for all-day wear. The narrow placket and v-neck design provide a contemporary aesthetic that stands out from more traditional, bulky workwear shirts.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The smooth, tight surface of this cotton-rich fabric makes it an exceptional canvas for both print and embroidery. For a formal and prestigious finish, we recommend embroidery for corporate logos or staff names; the stable weave supports dense stitch counts without puckering. If your branding requires large, vibrant graphics, our high-quality printing processes adhere perfectly to the flat knit surface. Our in-house team in Telford, drawing on expertise dating back to 1976, will ensure your branding is applied with precision.
Use Cases
This garment is an excellent choice for front-of-house hospitality roles, retail environments, and corporate events where a smart-casual uniform is required. Its professional aesthetic and feminine cut also make it a popular choice for beauty and wellness sectors, as well as management-level site visits.

Practical Advice
The Sophia polo is designed with a regular fit, but the stretch properties of the Lycra mean it provides a closer silhouette than standard heavy-duty polos. If you prefer a looser fit, consider checking the size guide measurements carefully. This item layers exceptionally well under v-neck knitwear or softshell jackets for a cohesive corporate look during colder months.
Caring for your product
To maintain the structural integrity and colour vibrancy of your polo, we recommend a domestic machine wash at 40°C. Using a standard cycle ensures the cotton fibres are cleaned thoroughly without subjecting the Lycra to excessive heat, which can degrade the stretch over time.
You should avoid the use of bleach, as this will weaken the natural fibres and can cause significant discolouration to both the fabric and your custom branding. Do not dry clean this garment, as the chemical processes involved can be too harsh for the elastane component.
We strongly advise against tumble drying. High heat is the enemy of Lycra and can lead to the garment losing its shape and elasticity. Instead, air dry the polo to ensure it remains in its original form. If ironing is necessary, use a medium (two-dot) heat setting to remove creases without scorching the fabric.
