Product Overview
The Tee Jays Hooded outdoor crossover is a masterfully engineered mid-season jacket that bridges the gap between casual comfort and technical performance. This hybrid garment combines the soft, tactile nature of knitted fleece with the resilience of a certified recycled ripstop polyester shell. Designed with a modern shaped fit, it provides a professional silhouette that moves with the wearer, making it an ideal choice for those who require a versatile layer that looks as good on a construction site visit as it does in a client meeting.
Key Features
- Adjustable Hood and Hem: These customisable points allow the wearer to seal out draughts and adapt the fit to their specific body shape, ensuring maximum comfort in changing weather conditions.
- Large Front and Inner Pockets: Generous storage options provide ample space for essential tools or mobile devices, keeping them secure yet accessible throughout the working day.
- Reversed SBS Zippers: These high-quality zippers offer a streamlined aesthetic and smooth operation, reducing the risk of snagging while maintaining a clean, professional finish.
- Elasticated Cuffs: The cuffs provide a secure fit around the wrists, helping to retain warmth and ensuring sleeves stay in place during physical activity.
Design & Performance
Constructed using 400T recycled ripstop polyester, this jacket is built to withstand the rigours of daily wear while remaining remarkably lightweight. The integration of knitted recycled polyester panels offers superior breathability and flexibility compared to traditional solid-shell jackets. Every component, from the padding to the lining, is crafted from recycled materials, meeting rigorous environmental standards such as Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and Amfori BSCI. This is a garment that prioritises sustainability without compromising on durability or the professional appearance your business demands.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
This jacket has been specifically prepared for embroidery, making it a premier choice for corporate branding. For a truly professional and long-lasting finish, we recommend embroidery for company logos and staff names; the structured nature of the ripstop and fleece panels provides an excellent canvas for high-density stitching. If your branding requires a larger, more vibrant display, our precision printing techniques are also compatible with this fabric. All customisation is carried out by our expert in-house team in Telford, ensuring your branding is applied with the same care and attention to detail we have provided since 1976.
Use Cases
The Hooded outdoor crossover is perfectly suited for supervisors, site managers, and tradespeople who transition frequently between indoor and outdoor environments. Its sporty yet understated design makes it an excellent choice for corporate team-wear, delivery drivers, or as a high-quality promotional garment for outdoor events. Given its lightweight construction, it is the ideal companion for the unpredictable British spring and autumn months.

Practical Advice
This jacket features a shaped fit, which provides a more tailored look. If you intend to wear heavy layers or thick sweatshirts underneath, you may wish to consider moving up one size to ensure full range of movement. The lightweight nature of the fabric makes it an exceptional outer layer for active work, but for stationary roles in extreme cold, it is best utilised as a mid-layer beneath a more substantial waterproof coat.
Caring for your product
To maintain the performance and aesthetic of your jacket, we recommend a machine wash at 30°C. Using a lower temperature helps preserve the recycled polyester fibres and ensures that any custom embroidery remains taut and vibrant over time.
It is vital to wash this garment separately and ensure all zippers are fully closed before placing it in the machine. Leaving zippers open can cause the metal teeth to snag against the knitted sections of the fabric, leading to premature wear and pilling.
To protect the integrity of the ripstop shell and the recycled padding, do not tumble dry or soak this garment. High heat from a dryer can damage the synthetic fibres and cause shrinkage, while prolonged soaking can weaken the fabric bonds. Simply hang the jacket to air dry to maintain its shape and performance for years to come.
