Product Overview
The Stormtech Women's Altitude jacket is a sophisticated solution for professionals who require a high level of thermal protection without the bulk of traditional outerwear. Engineered with a lightweight polyfill and a showerproof D/W/R coating, this jacket is designed to withstand the variable British climate while maintaining a sharp, professional silhouette. The quilted baffles serve a technical purpose by stabilising the insulation, ensuring consistent warmth throughout the garment even during active use.
Key Features
- Stormtech Thermal Shell Technology: This insulation method provides impressive warmth-to-weight performance, keeping the wearer comfortable in cold conditions without restricting movement.
- DWR Durable Water-Repellent Outer Shell: The specialised coating ensures that water beads and rolls off the surface, providing essential protection during unexpected showers.
- Articulated Sleeves: These are tailored to follow the natural motion of the arms, preventing the jacket from riding up and ensuring comfort throughout the working day.
- Brushed Tricot Hand Warmer Pockets: The pockets are lined with a soft, thermal fabric to provide immediate warmth and comfort for the hands in biting weather.
- Full-Length Inner Storm Flap: This feature acts as a secondary barrier against the wind, preventing drafts from penetrating the zip and compromising core temperature.
Design & Performance
The exterior of the Altitude jacket is crafted from 100% Nylon micro ripstop. This fabric is specifically chosen for its durability; the reinforced weave prevents small nicks or snags from developing into larger tears, making it well-suited for demanding work environments. Inside, the polyester polyfill is distributed evenly to eliminate cold spots. Despite its robust construction, the jacket remains remarkably lightweight, offering a level of portability and comfort that is essential for staff who are constantly on the move.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
This garment is an excellent canvas for corporate branding. It features dedicated embroidery access, allowing our technicians to apply your logo with a clean, professional finish that does not interfere with the internal lining. For a classic and enduring appearance, we recommend embroidery for company logos and individual names. If your requirements involve larger, more complex designs, our high-quality printing process is also available. All customisation is managed in-house at our Telford facility, where we have been perfecting our craft since 1976.
Use Cases
The Women's Altitude jacket is ideal for management and supervisory staff who transition between office and site environments. It is a popular choice for event organisers, transport professionals, and sales teams who require a uniform that reflects the high standards of their business while offering practical protection against the elements.

Practical Advice
This jacket is designed with a feminine, tailored fit and is available in sizes ranging from XS (Size 8) to XL (Size 16). To maximise the thermal properties of the jacket, we recommend wearing it over a breathable base layer. If you intend to wear thick knitwear or multiple layers beneath the jacket, you may find it more comfortable to select one size larger than your usual measurement.
Caring for your product
To preserve the technical integrity of the DWR coating and the loft of the thermal insulation, proper maintenance is vital. We recommend a cold machine wash on a gentle cycle with similar colours. Using cold water protects the synthetic fibres and ensures that your custom embroidery or print remains vibrant and intact.
Do not use bleach, as this will degrade the water-repellent finish and weaken the nylon shell. For drying, we advise hanging the jacket to air dry. Avoiding the high heat of a tumble dryer is essential to prevent the micro ripstop fabric from warping and to maintain the structure of the polyfill.
Ironing should be avoided entirely, particularly over any custom decoration, as the direct heat will melt the synthetic materials. Finally, do not dry clean the jacket; the chemicals used in the process can strip the thermal shell technology and reduce the garment's effectiveness in cold weather.
