Product Overview
The Stormtech Women's Montserrat Thermal Jacket (ST226) represents a sophisticated approach to corporate outerwear, balancing high-performance thermal regulation with a commitment to environmental responsibility. Part of the Pure Earth collection, this jacket is engineered specifically for women who require warmth in cold or damp conditions without the bulk associated with traditional winter gear. By utilizing recycled polyester inputs, Stormtech has created a garment that satisfies both technical requirements and corporate sustainability goals.
Key Features
- Thermolex High Loft Synthetic Down: This insulation mimics the warmth of natural down while maintaining its loft and thermal properties even if it becomes damp, ensuring consistent core temperature regulation.
- PFC-Free Water-Repellent Finish: A durable coating that forces moisture to bead and roll off the surface, providing essential protection against light rain and drizzle without the use of harmful chemicals.
- Stretch Side Panels: The single-layer stretch side panels provide a superior range of motion, making this jacket ideal for active professionals who need to move freely.
- Adjustable Comfort: Features such as the drawcord-adjustable hem and elasticised cuffs allow the wearer to seal in heat and customise the fit to their specific requirements.
- Secure Storage: Zipped hand pockets lined with brushed tricot offer both warmth for the hands and secure storage for essential tools or personal items, complemented by internal mesh stash pockets.
Design & Performance
The Montserrat is designed as a hybrid garment, combining a windproof, lightweight quilted body with flexible side panels. This construction targets warmth where it is most needed at the core, while preventing the overheating and restriction often found in fully insulated jackets. The outer shell is a fine-weave fabric that offers impressive wind resistance despite its low-profile feel.
Durability is built into the fabric composition, which blends recycled and virgin polyester for a resilient finish that withstands the rigours of daily professional use. The inclusion of a full-length internal storm flap and a chin saver ensures that the central zip does not become a point of thermal loss or skin irritation during long shifts in inclement weather.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The Montserrat is an excellent candidate for custom branding, featuring specific decoration access to ensure a clean finish. For a professional and enduring corporate look, we recommend embroidery. Our Telford-based team can expertly stitch your company logo or staff names onto the chest, providing a textured, premium appearance that withstands frequent laundering.
For businesses requiring larger, more vibrant branding, this jacket also supports high-quality print techniques. Whether you choose the traditional authority of embroidery or the bold clarity of print, our in-house team—drawing on nearly five decades of experience—ensures your brand is represented with precision.
Use Cases
This jacket is perfectly suited for site managers, surveyors, and client-facing staff who transition between vehicles, offices, and outdoor environments. Its lightweight nature also makes it a versatile choice for logistics professionals or team members working in unheated warehouse spaces where mobility is just as important as insulation.

Practical Advice
The Montserrat is designed with a feminine fit in mind; however, if you intend to wear heavy knitwear or multiple layers beneath it, you may wish to consider sizing up to ensure maximum comfort across the shoulders. The lightweight nature of the jacket makes it an ideal mid-layer under a heavy waterproof shell during extreme winter conditions.
Caring for your product
To maintain the performance of the water-repellent finish and the loft of the Thermolex insulation, we recommend a cold machine wash on a gentle cycle with similar colours. Using cold water prevents the synthetic fibres from losing their structural integrity over time.
It is vital to avoid fabric softeners, as these can coat the fibres and significantly reduce the effectiveness of both the breathability and the water-repellent treatment. Likewise, do not use bleach, as this will degrade the polyester fabric and damage the integrity of your custom branding.
Tumble dry only on a low temperature setting. Low heat helps to 'fluff' the synthetic down back into its original shape without melting the fine shell fabric. Do not iron the garment or the decoration, as direct heat will cause permanent damage to the synthetic materials and the print or embroidery. This jacket is not suitable for dry cleaning.
