Product Overview
The Stormtech Women's Nautilus quilted jacket is a well-engineered garment designed to provide a reliable barrier against the elements without the bulk of traditional outerwear. This lightweight jacket balances thermal efficiency with a streamlined silhouette, making it an ideal choice for professionals who require mobility and protection in changing weather conditions.
Constructed with a 100% polyester pongee outer shell, it features a technical water-repellent coating that ensures light rain beads away rather than soaking into the fabric. The internal quilted insulation provides consistent warmth, while the ultra-soft lining offers a high level of comfort for all-day wear.
Key Features
- Durable Water Repellent (DWR) Outer Shell: This technical finish provides an initial layer of protection against moisture, ensuring you stay dry during light showers.
- Quilted Body with Ultra-Soft Lining: The internal insulation is held in place by quilted baffles, preventing cold spots and providing a soft, comfortable feel against the body or mid-layers.
- Internal Full-Length Storm Flap: Positioned behind the main zip, this flap acts as a secondary barrier to prevent wind and rain from penetrating the jacket.
- Elasticised Cuffs: These provide a secure fit around the wrists, helping to trap heat and prevent cold air from travelling up the sleeves.
Design & Performance
The Nautilus jacket is crafted from 100% polyester pongee, a fabric chosen for its smooth texture and inherent strength. The lightweight nature of the material ensures the jacket remains easy to wear throughout a busy shift, while the thin-baffle quilting provides a modern, professional appearance that fits well over corporate attire or leisurewear.
Performance is enhanced by the inclusion of a full-length internal storm flap. In professional environments where staff transition between indoor and outdoor tasks, this feature ensures that wind chill is minimised. The fabric's technical coating is essential for maintaining the jacket's appearance and functionality in the unpredictable British climate.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The smooth surface of the polyester pongee makes the Nautilus jacket an excellent candidate for customisation. For a traditional, high-end professional look, we recommend embroidery. Our Telford-based team can apply intricate logos and staff names with precision, creating a durable and sophisticated finish that withstands the rigours of daily use.
If your branding requires larger, more vibrant graphics, heat-applied print is a suitable alternative. This method allows for bold designs to be placed prominently on the jacket. Since 1976, MyWorkwear has been refining these processes in-house, ensuring that every garment meets our exacting standards before it reaches your door.
Use Cases
This jacket is perfectly suited for client-facing roles where a tidy, professional appearance is paramount. It is an excellent choice for site managers, event staff, or hospitality teams who need a versatile outer layer that looks just as good in a meeting as it does on a site walk-round. Its lightweight profile also makes it a sensible option for travel and commuting.

Practical Advice
The Women's Nautilus jacket is available in sizes S to XL. When choosing your size, consider what you intend to wear underneath; if you frequently wear thick fleeces or heavy knitwear, you may wish to allow for a slightly more generous fit. The lightweight construction makes this an ideal top layer for spring and autumn, or a mid-layer beneath a heavy waterproof shell in more extreme conditions.
Caring for your product
To maintain the performance of the water-repellent finish and the loft of the insulation, we recommend a cold machine wash. Using high temperatures can damage the technical fibres and may cause the DWR coating to degrade prematurely, reducing the jacket's ability to shed water.
When drying, use a low tumble dry setting. This helps to redistribute the internal insulation and maintain the jacket's shape. High heat in a tumble dryer should be avoided as it can cause the polyester fabric to shrink or lose its structural integrity.
Do not iron this garment. The heat from a domestic iron can melt the synthetic fibres of the polyester pongee shell, leading to permanent damage. The quilted design naturally resists heavy creasing, so the jacket will maintain a professional appearance with minimal fuss.
