Product Overview

The Russell Collection Long Sleeve Pure Cotton Poplin Shirt is a sophisticated choice for professionals who refuse to compromise on comfort. Crafted from 100% natural cotton, this shirt offers the exceptional breathability and soft hand-feel that only pure fibres can provide. The "easycare" finish ensures that despite its elegant appearance, it remains a practical and durable garment for the daily rigours of the workplace. Whether you are leading a boardroom meeting or managing a front-of-house team, this shirt provides a crisp, authoritative silhouette throughout the day.

Key Features
  • Classic style boned collar: Maintains a sharp, structured shape that remains upright and professional even when worn without a tie.
  • Adjustable 2-button rounded cuffs: Offers a customisable fit around the wrist, with an additional button on the cuff gauntlet for extra security and a refined finish.
  • Back yoke with two side pleats: Provides essential extra room across the shoulders, allowing for a full range of movement without the fabric pulling or straining.
  • Left chest mitred pocket: A functional addition that offers convenient storage for small essentials while complementing the shirt's streamlined aesthetic.
  • Straight bottom hem: A versatile design choice that allows the shirt to be worn tucked in for a formal look or left untucked for a slightly more relaxed professional appearance.

Design & Performance

This shirt is engineered from a lightweight cotton poplin, a weave known for its smooth surface and durability. The choice of 100% cotton ensures that the wearer remains cool and comfortable, as the fabric naturally wicks moisture away from the skin. The inclusion of the back yoke and side pleats is not merely a stylistic choice; it is a technical feature designed to enhance the wearer's mobility. The durable construction means this garment will withstand the repetitive nature of a busy working week while retaining its shape and professional finish.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The smooth, fine weave of the poplin fabric makes this shirt an excellent candidate for both print and embroidery. For those seeking a truly distinguished look, we recommend embroidery. Our in-house team in Telford, with expertise dating back to 1976, can render your company logo with precision, creating a durable and high-quality finish that commands respect. Alternatively, for large-scale branding or promotional activities, our high-definition printing options offer vibrant results that stand out. Every customisation is handled with the care you would expect from a company with nearly five decades of experience.

Use Cases

This garment is ideal for corporate environments, hospitality management, and customer-facing roles. Its blend of elegance and durability makes it perfect for those who need to maintain a high standard of dress while remaining active. From hotel reception desks to administrative offices, it serves as a reliable cornerstone of any professional uniform.

Practical Advice

This shirt is available in an inclusive size range from Small to 4XL. For the best fit, we recommend paying close attention to the collar measurements provided in the size guide, as a well-fitted collar is essential for a professional appearance. Due to its lightweight nature, it layers beautifully under a knitwear piece or a tailored jacket during the cooler months without adding unnecessary bulk.

Caring for your product

To ensure your shirt remains in peak condition and your branding stays sharp, consistent care is required. Maintaining the integrity of the natural cotton fibres is key to the garment's longevity.

We recommend a domestic wash at 40°C. This temperature is sufficient to remove everyday stains while being gentle enough to prevent the cotton fibres from degrading prematurely. Avoiding higher temperatures will also help to preserve the clarity of any embroidery or printed logos.

This shirt is suitable for tumble drying. We suggest using a moderate heat setting to activate the easycare properties of the fabric, which will significantly reduce the time required for ironing. Once dry, a light iron will return the shirt to its original, crisp state, ensuring you are ready for the next working day.
