Design & Performance
Constructed from 100% polyester, this waistcoat is engineered to be a lightweight fabric that does not add unnecessary weight to the wearer’s outfit. The fabric is chosen for its durability and ability to retain high-visibility pigments, even after repeated use in demanding outdoor environments. The structured design ensures that the reflective bands remain correctly positioned across the body and shoulders, maximizing the garment's protective performance during movement.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The ProRTX Waistcoat is an excellent canvas for corporate branding. For a sophisticated and permanent professional appearance, embroidery is recommended for company logos or staff names on the chest. If you require large-scale, high-impact branding or safety messages on the back of the waistcoat, our high-quality print service provides a sharp and bold finish.
All customisation is carried out by our expert in-house team at our facility in Telford. Having been established in 1976, MyWorkwear brings decades of technical expertise to every garment, ensuring your branding is applied with precision and longevity in mind.
Use Cases
This waistcoat is a staple for construction sites, warehouse operations, and logistics professionals. The High-Visibility Orange version is specifically suited for rail workers, while the array of non-certified solid colours makes this garment ideal for event marshals, hospitality staff, or volunteer groups who require clear identification without needing formal EN ISO 20471 certification.

Practical Advice
When selecting your size, consider what the waistcoat will be worn over. If it is to be used over a heavy winter coat, you may wish to choose a larger size than usual to ensure a comfortable fit. The tear-and-release fastening is designed for simplicity, but ensure it is fully engaged to prevent the garment from flapping in windy conditions.
Caring for your product
To maintain the high-visibility properties and the integrity of the reflective tape, it is important to follow the specified care instructions. Maintaining these standards ensures the garment continues to provide the safety protection it was designed for.
Machine wash the garment at 40°C. This temperature is sufficient to remove workplace grime without causing excessive wear to the reflective elements. Do not use bleach, as harsh chemicals will strip the high-visibility dye and significantly reduce the garment's effectiveness.
This waistcoat should not be tumble dried or ironed. High heat can melt the polyester fibres and cause the reflective tape to crack or delaminate. Similarly, do not dry clean this garment, as the industrial solvents used can damage the specialised coatings required for safety compliance.
