Product Overview

The Result Core junior vest is an essential piece of safety equipment designed specifically for younger wearers. This lightweight overgarment provides high visibility and protection, ensuring that children remain seen in various environments. Engineered with a generous fit, it is intended to be worn over regular clothing, such as school uniforms or outdoor jackets, without restricting movement. It is fully certified to EN1150:1999 standards, making it a reliable choice for educational and recreational activities where safety is a primary concern.

Key Features

  • Certified to EN1150:1999 specification, providing peace of mind that the garment meets formal safety requirements for non-professional high-visibility wear.
  • Equipped with 50mm sewn-on safety tapes that wrap around the torso and shoulders to maximise visibility in low-light conditions.
  • Features a practical tear release fastening, allowing for quick adjustments and providing a safety break-away feature if the vest becomes snagged.
  • Finished with grey bound edges, which reinforce the fabric and prevent fraying during the rigours of active use.

Design & Performance

Constructed from 100% polyester, this vest uses a lightweight fabric that is both durable and breathable. The design prioritises visibility, with ample space on the chest and shoulders for custom branding. The generous sizing is a deliberate design choice, ensuring the vest remains comfortable even when layered over bulkier winter clothing. It is important to note that the garment must be worn fastened and kept clean to maintain its reflective effectiveness and safety certification.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

This junior vest is well-suited for both embroidery and transfer printing, allowing for versatile branding options. Embroidery is an excellent choice for a professional and long-lasting finish, ideal for school crests or staff identification. For larger, more colourful designs or event-specific logos, transfer printing provides a vibrant and sharp appearance that stands out clearly on the polyester surface.

Our in-house team at our Telford facility has been specialising in garment customisation since 1976. By managing the process ourselves, we ensure that every logo is applied with precision, maintaining the professional standard that MyWorkwear is known for.

Use Cases

This vest is an ideal solution for schools, youth organisations, and cycling clubs. It is particularly effective for supervised walking buses, school field trips, and any outdoor activity where keeping children visible is paramount. While all colours offer enhanced visibility, please note that only the Fluorescent Orange and Fluorescent Yellow versions are certified as safety vests under EN1150:1999.

Practical Advice

When selecting a size, we recommend choosing the size that matches the child's chest measurement, as the garment is already designed with a generous cut to fit over other clothing. To ensure the highest level of safety, the vest should always be worn securely fastened to ensure the reflective tapes are correctly positioned.

Caring for your product

Maintaining the cleanliness of this vest is vital for preserving its high-visibility properties. We recommend a domestic wash at 40°C. This temperature is sufficient to remove dirt and grime without damaging the reflective tapes or the synthetic fibres of the vest.

Do not use bleach, as this will degrade the fluorescent dyes in the fabric and reduce its visibility. Ironing should be avoided entirely, as the heat can melt the polyester and destroy the reflective material. For the same reasons, do not tumble dry or dry clean the garment; air drying is the best method to ensure the vest retains its shape and safety functionality over time.
