Product Overview

The ProRTX Executive Waistcoat represents a significant upgrade from standard high-visibility vests. Specifically designed for managers, supervisors, and site leaders, this garment combines essential safety certification with the practical storage requirements of a modern workplace. Unlike traditional hook-and-loop vests, this waistcoat features a full-length front zip fastening, providing a more secure and structured fit that maintains a professional appearance throughout the working day.

Key Features
  • Comprehensive Pocket System: Includes a dedicated mobile phone pocket and two side front expandable pockets with flaps, allowing you to carry essential tools and devices securely.
  • Integrated ID Holder: A clear ID card pocket ensures your credentials are visible at all times, which is vital for secure site access and management.
  • Integrated Key Loop: Provides a secure attachment point for keys or small tools, preventing accidental loss during transit across large sites.
  • Certified Visibility: Fully compliant with EN ISO 20471:2013+A1:2016 standards, ensuring you remain visible in low-light and high-risk environments.
  • Rail Industry Standard: The high-visibility orange variant meets RIS-3279-TOM ISSUE 1:2016 specifications, making it suitable for UK rail industry applications.

Design & Performance

Constructed from 100% polyester, this waistcoat uses a lightweight fabric that is both breathable and hard-wearing. The material is engineered to withstand the rigours of daily use without adding unnecessary bulk or weight, making it comfortable for all-day wear over existing workwear. The reflective tape is strategically positioned over the shoulders and around the body to ensure maximum visibility from all angles, providing Class 2 protection for solid colours and Class 1 for two-colour designs.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The ProRTX Executive Waistcoat is an excellent canvas for your company branding. Our Telford-based team, with expertise dating back to 1976, can apply high-quality embroidery or print to this garment. Embroidery is highly recommended for company logos on the chest, providing a sophisticated and permanent finish that withstands regular laundering. For larger, high-impact branding on the back, our precision printing techniques ensure your logo is bold and clearly visible, helping your team stand out on any site.

Use Cases

This waistcoat is the preferred choice for site managers, logistics supervisors, and event coordinators who need to be easily identified while having quick access to communication devices and identification. The orange version is specifically required for those working on or near the UK rail network. It is also well-suited for any industrial environment where Class 2 visibility is a safety requirement.

Practical Advice

When selecting your size, consider what you will be wearing beneath the waistcoat. If you intend to wear it over a heavy winter jacket, you may wish to choose a larger size to ensure a comfortable fit. The zip fastening provides a more tailored silhouette than traditional vests, so referring to our size guide (S to 5XL) is recommended for the best results.

Caring for your product

To maintain the performance and safety characteristics of this waistcoat, we recommend a machine wash at 40°C. This temperature effectively removes site dirt while preserving the integrity of the reflective tapes and polyester fibres.

Do not use bleach, as this will degrade the high-visibility pigments and the reflective properties of the tape, compromising your safety. We also advise against tumble drying; instead, allow the garment to air dry to prevent heat damage to the zip and reflective elements.

This garment should not be ironed. High heat can melt the polyester fabric and permanently damage the reflective strips. Finally, avoid dry cleaning, as the chemicals used can strip the fluorescent dyes from the fabric, reducing its effectiveness as a safety garment.
