Product Overview

The Classic Coverall is a definitive choice for professionals seeking a dependable layer of protection in the workplace. Engineered to withstand the daily demands of various trades, this garment offers a balance of functional design and long-lasting durability. It is specifically built to keep your underlying clothing clean while providing the utility needed for a productive shift, making it a staple for any well-equipped workshop or site.

Key Features

  • Multiple storage options, including one chest pocket, two side pockets, and a dedicated rule pocket, ensure that your essential tools and measuring equipment are always within easy reach.
  • Back elastication is integrated into the design to provide a flexible fit, allowing for a greater range of movement and maintaining comfort during physically active tasks.
  • The Kingsmill fabric is fully pre-shrunk, ensuring that the garment maintains its size and shape even after repeated laundering.
  • Superior dye retention properties mean the black finish remains deep and professional, resisting the fading typically associated with industrial environments.

Design & Performance

This coverall is crafted from Kingsmill Polycotton, a high-performance blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. This medium-weight fabric is selected for its ability to provide the breathability of cotton alongside the rugged strength of polyester. The result is a garment that feels comfortable against the skin while remaining tough enough to resist abrasions and tears.

The performance of the fabric is further enhanced by its construction, which focuses on maximum comfort throughout the working day. Whether you are bending, reaching, or lifting, the material is designed to work with you, providing a consistent professional appearance without sacrificing the practicality required by modern tradespeople.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

The Classic Coverall serves as an ideal base for professional branding. For those seeking a sophisticated and long-lasting finish, embroidery is highly recommended for company logos or individual names. The stable weave of the Kingsmill fabric provides an excellent foundation for high-quality stitching, ensuring your brand is represented with authority.

If your requirements include large-scale graphics or high-visibility messaging on the back, our professional printing services offer a clear and bold alternative. Our in-house team, established in 1976 and based in our Telford facility, manages the entire customisation process to ensure every garment meets our exacting standards.

Use Cases

Given its robust nature and functional pocket configuration, this coverall is perfectly suited for a wide range of professions. It is an essential item for mechanics, providing a barrier against oils and grease, and is equally effective for electricians, plumbers, and those in the construction industry. It also finds extensive use among tree surgeons and maintenance staff who require a sturdy outer layer for outdoor work.

Practical Advice

As this coverall is intended to be worn over other clothing, we recommend assessing your layering needs when choosing a size. If you typically wear heavy knitwear or multiple layers during winter months, choosing a size that allows for extra room will ensure you maintain a full range of movement. The elasticated back provides some flexibility, but a correct fit is vital for both safety and comfort.

Caring for your product

To ensure your coverall continues to perform at its best, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C. This temperature is sufficient to remove heavy dirt and grease while preserving the structural integrity of the polycotton fibres.

It is important to avoid the use of bleach. Bleaching agents will cause the fabric to weaken over time and will strip the dye, leading to a loss of the deep black colour. For drying, a low-temperature tumble dry is suitable, although drip line drying is the preferred method to help the garment retain its shape and finish.

If ironing is necessary to maintain a sharp appearance, use a maximum iron temperature of 150°C. Exceeding this temperature can damage the synthetic fibres within the blend. Finally, do not dry clean this garment, as the chemicals used in the process can be too aggressive for the fabric and may affect the longevity of any custom print or embroidery.
