Design & Performance
The primary fabric is a sophisticated blend of 60% Modacrylic, 39% Cotton, and 1% Carbon Fibre. This composition ensures the garment is not only flame-resistant but also possesses anti-static properties, which are critical in volatile environments. The inclusion of cotton ensures the fabric remains breathable and comfortable against the skin for extended periods.
For enhanced performance, the trousers feature Modaflame Work Stretch panels. By incorporating 4% Elastane alongside the modacrylic and cotton blend, these panels provide the necessary flexibility for climbing, kneeling, and bending. This strategic design prevents the common issue of fabric tearing at stress points, significantly extending the service life of the trousers.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
These trousers are suitable for both print and embroidery, allowing you to maintain a unified corporate identity while adhering to safety requirements. Embroidery is an excellent choice for adding company logos or staff names, providing a durable and professional finish that stands up to industrial laundering.
For larger branding or more complex graphics, our high-quality printing process ensures bold visibility. All customisation is managed by our expert in-house team at our Telford facility. Since 1976, MyWorkwear has refined the art of branding protective clothing, ensuring that your logo is applied with precision without compromising the technical integrity of the flame-resistant fabric.
Use Cases
These service trousers are specifically designed for multi-norm environments, including the petrochemical, utility, and electrical industries. They are ideal for engineers, technicians, and site managers who require a professional appearance combined with high-performance flame and anti-static protection.

Practical Advice
When selecting your size, consider the layering you may require underneath during colder months. The side elastication provides some flexibility in the waist, but for the most comfortable fit, we recommend a standard fitting. If you are using knee pads, ensure they are correctly positioned within the internal pockets to maximise protection during manual tasks.
Caring for your product
Maintaining your protective garments correctly is vital to ensure they continue to perform as intended and to preserve the life of your custom branding.
We recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 60°C using a normal process. Washing at this temperature effectively removes industrial grime and contaminants while ensuring your embroidered or printed logos remain vibrant and securely attached to the fabric.
Do not use bleach when cleaning this garment. Bleaching agents can cause significant damage to the synthetic fibres and may compromise the anti-static and flame-resistant properties of the material, as well as causing severe discolouration.
When drying, use a low temperature setting in the tumble dryer. High heat can lead to excessive shrinkage, particularly in fabrics containing modacrylic and elastane, which may alter the fit and comfort of the trousers. For pressing, iron at a maximum temperature of 150°C to remove creases without damaging the technical fibres.
Professional dry cleaning should be avoided. The chemicals used in dry cleaning processes can interfere with the inherent protective qualities of the Modaflame fabric, potentially reducing its effectiveness in hazardous situations.
