Product Overview

The WX2 Eco Stretch Work Trousers represent a sophisticated balance between environmental responsibility and high-performance functionality. Developed as part of a modern approach to workwear, these trousers are constructed from recycled polyester, ensuring that your choice of uniform contributes to a more sustainable industrial future. Beyond their eco-credentials, the design focuses heavily on the wearer's mobility, utilizing advanced stretch fabrics to handle the physical demands of a busy working environment without the restrictive feel of traditional heavy canvas.

Key Features

  • Four-Pocket Configuration: Provides essential storage for tools and personal items without adding unnecessary bulk to the garment's silhouette.
  • 4-Way Stretch Fabric: Allows for a complete range of movement, ensuring the trousers move with you rather than against you during active tasks.
  • Side Elasticated Waist: Delivers a secure and adaptive fit, increasing comfort when bending, kneeling, or sitting for extended periods.
  • Sustainable Composition: Utilises recycled polyester to reduce environmental impact while maintaining the high durability expected of professional workwear.

Design & Performance

The core of the WX2 performance lies in the Kingsmill Polyester Stretch Eco fabric. Composed of 93% recycled polyester and 7% elastane, this lightweight fabric offers a unique combination of resilience and flexibility. The inclusion of elastane provides the essential 'snap-back' quality required in work trousers, preventing the fabric from bagging at the knees after repetitive movement. The lightweight nature of the material makes these trousers particularly suitable for indoor environments or warmer outdoor conditions where breathability and temperature regulation are paramount.

Customisation: Print & Embroidery

These trousers are well-suited for professional branding, allowing your team to maintain a unified and expert appearance. Embroidery is highly recommended for company logos or staff names, typically applied to the thigh or rear pocket area; it provides a durable, high-quality finish that withstands the rigours of industrial laundering. For larger, more distinctive branding, our print processes offer a crisp and vibrant alternative. All customisation is managed in-house at our Telford facility, where our team has been perfecting the art of workwear branding since 1976.

Use Cases

The WX2 Eco Stretch Work Trousers are an ideal choice for professionals in logistics, light engineering, and facilities management. The flexible fabric and lightweight construction make them particularly beneficial for tradespeople who spend significant time moving between sites or working in confined spaces where agility is required. Their clean, modern aesthetic also makes them suitable for supervisors and managers who require a garment that transitions seamlessly from the workshop to the office.

Practical Advice

Given the 4-way stretch nature of the fabric, these trousers offer a more athletic fit than standard non-stretch alternatives. The side elastication provides some leeway in sizing, but for those who prefer a more relaxed fit for layering over thermal base layers in winter, you may wish to consider your usual sizing carefully. The lightweight fabric also makes them an excellent component of a layered uniform system.

Caring for your product

To maintain the structural integrity and the technical stretch properties of the fabric, we recommend a domestic wash at a maximum temperature of 40°C. Exceeding this temperature can damage the elastane fibres, leading to a loss of the garment's shape over time.

It is essential to avoid the use of bleach, as this will degrade the polyester fibres and cause premature fading of the black pigment. We also advise against tumble drying; instead, allow the trousers to air dry to preserve the 4-way stretch performance and prevent potential shrinkage.

If ironing is required, use a low setting not exceeding 110°C. High heat from an iron can scorch the synthetic fibres. Finally, do not dry clean this garment, as the harsh chemicals used in the process can strip the fabric of its essential properties and damage any applied custom branding.
